Coleman Event 14 Sun Shelter + Sunwall - $169 + Delivery ($0 to Most Areas) @ Snowys

120

Have had my eye on this for a while, and was selling for $229 until now everywhere. Also available at their eBay store though they don't deliver to my address on there :/

Most beach sunshades are aimed at your typical size family. Well, the good folks at Coleman realise that not all families are the same. Some are big. So, they created the Coleman Event 14.

Boasting a CPAI-84 fire retardant and UPF50+ canopy, this shade will keep your family protected from the harsh summer sun. Easy to set up with 8 shock-corded poles, this it has a whopping 2.3m internal height which’ll accommodate even the tallest of cousins. And it packs down relatively small, so you don’t need a truck to cart it to that Sunday picnic, the beach, or your next cricket match.

A 'sunwall' is included allowing for wind protection and privacy, making the Event 14 a great summer beach shade for the extended family.

75D/185T fabric
UPF50+ rated
Includes 1 x sunwall
Additional sunwalls can be purchased separately

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2022

I have this, along with an Oztrail 3x3 gazebo and Oztrail 3x6 gazebo … and now a CoolCabana with grass kit.

I'm selling the Coleman Event. Great concept and it is a decent size, but its a bit of a PITA to assemble compared to the gazebos and the shape is actually kinda weird to use. In an open park area it's not bad, but for backyards or beach its not great.

I would consider finding a store that has one assembled (if that's even a thing) so you can walk around under it and see if you like it.

    • How do you compare the oztrial 3x3 vs Coolcabana??

      • Haven't had the CoolCabana out yet to test. My plan was to continue using the Oztrail(s) for events that have more people and potentially rain…. but the CoolCabana was going to just be some quick and easy sun shade for the immediate family.

I'll rip it out this weekend and report back.

Sorry for the delayed response. Went on holidays and took the CoolCabana.

It can’t really be compared to the OzTrail. It went up in 60 seconds and handled wind much better than the OzTrail. It fit the 6 of us on the beach perfectly and was amazing.

I would likely use the OzTrail if I was having a larger gathering in a park or house… and the CoolCabana for beach or just my family at a park (or in addition to the OzTrail at a park with larger groups).

        The CoolCabana is amazing.

        • Thanks, can't believe I missed that yellow tale promotion!!

    • I also had my eye on the Coleman. What would you suggest for the same price range?

    • Yeah I agree it's certainly no small thing, and I'd recommend people see the video of setting it up to get an idea.

We're using it for a beach holiday, so will have the space to set it up etc

  • $131.82 worth the ebay promos.. No Brainer at that price.
