Get a Large Cabana for $50 Delivered (Yellow Gingham Only, Worth $249) When You Buy 6 Bottles of Yellow Tail Wines @ CoolCabanas

2010

I just got a great deal for Summer:

  1. Buy 6 x bottles of Yellow Tail wine (any 750ml varieties) in one transaction from a participating venue1 and keep the receipt.
  2. Scan the deal on the bottle (small attached label) to take you to yellowtailcabana.com.au and submit your details and proof of purchase.
  3. The promo company will send you a code once they confirm your purchase details (took 2 days) and a link to the CoolCabana site.
  4. Submit the code at checkout and get your cabana for $50 delivered (instead of $249!)

Great reviews so I ordered 2 for Christmas (2 x separate purchases). Cheers!
14/11/22-Just a heads up that my 2 x Cabana's were delivered by Australia Post today. I am one very happy person!

    • Yes I bought 2 x 6 with separate receipts submitted!

      • Says limit 1 claim per household, did you do the 2nd under a different address?

"The gift is a discount voucher to purchase a Yellow Tail CoolCabana Beach Cabana for $199 (normally $249 without discount voucher), redeemable at www.coolcabanas.com.au/pages/yellowtail. "

On the Website it says purchase for $50.

    A bit confusing

    • +1

Not on this web page! It states it quite clearly!

      • +2

Yeah I agree, which is why I'm confused.

    • ooo interesting… yeah it might be an error…

    • +4

      It is a $199 gift voucher…

      • +1

Can OP confirm they got the $199 voucher?

  • +3

Woah so $51 for 6x wines + $50 for cabana = $101 for cabana and 6 bottles of wine? Seems pretty awesome

    • Yeah if this is $50 and not $199, then this is a bargain!

I have one of these from last summer, easily the best beach shade out there.

      • +7

Confirming I paid $50 with free delivery for each one. At checkout you put in the code they send you when they confirm your purchase receipt( took 2 x days to get code!

        • Awesome find man, I'm def going to get another one, these should last forever.

    • +2

And I got my 6 x 2 for $43.20 on special at BWS with my Woolworths rewards card so even better! They were $8 on special then 10% off with card. But I think they have gone back to $10 now( so $60 minus $6 =$54 but other liquor stores sometimes have them on special.

      • still 3 for $24 just now, and also stacked the 10% off any 6.

    • +5

      and 6 bottles of wine?

      Yellowtail is pretty crap though.

      • +3

Hahaha yeah I was thinking it'll be used as a cooking wine. Still not bad having something to whip out and not worry about wasting good wine!

      • That's why sangria and the French 75 was invented.

      • +1

Disagree! I like their Chardonnay so each to their own!

  • "The claimant must pay for all shipping and delivery costs." i wonder how much this will be!

    • Free Delivery!

  • Is there any way to find out the participating venues without going in store?

    • The t&c's didnt mention anyone - i think you can run with any retailer really. Anyone know if you provide a barcode or anything from the bottles, or just the invoice showing the purchase?

  • I assume it can be any Yellow Tail 750ml (eg a mix of different reds and whites) - i cant see anything in the t&c's
    https://www.yellowtailcabana.com.au/terms?agegate=false

    • +1

Yes it says any 750ml. I'm going out to get some soon.

Worse case if the deal is not honoured, I'm going to return the grog. :) It can sit in my room until the deal is done.

      • +4

        Worst case, unintentional pun?

If it doesn't get honoured then you bet I'd wine about it

      • +1

Wait for the deal to be honoured, then return the grog.

        • The best deals are in the comments. Lol

  • Be interested to hear which retail stores people have seen advertising for this promotion in (e.g. First choice, liquorland etc) please

    • I've contacted both Dan Murphy and First Choice, both have said they are not participating in the promo. Has anyone found a retailer that is participating?

      • +1

i would be VERY surprised if they werent eligible. The retailer is often the last one to know about promos like this

        • first choice purchase was rejected :(

Unfortunately, your receipt for the Yellow Tail CoolCabanas promotion has been rejected due to invalid retailer.

      • BWS has the bottles on the shelves, there were no other promotional materials.

        • They're because they have to pay for extra promo material in stores.

      • +1

The stickers were on the bottles at Dan Murphy's (Kingsford).

  • Submitted a claim but didn’t receive e-mail confirmation. Anyone else in the same boat? Hoping this doesn’t turn out to be a bic / Weber promo repeat.

    • +1

OP said it took two days to come through

    • +1

      My confirmation took 2 days

  • I wonder if it will work with an online order receipt (placed order but haven't picked the wine up yet)…

    • haha, are you thinking what im thinking……..

      • May have crossed my mind…

        • Worth a shot 😉

      • what are you thinking my good friend?? Legit want to know!!

        • Microsoft word is your friend

    • -4

Nobody knows if you have picked up ur order or not.

  • +1

What if my online order doesn't have that small label on a bottle/s. Can i refuse to pick up when i head in store and get it cancelled ?

    • Sounds like the label just has a QR code and details about the promotion, and no specific code that needs to be entered…

      • I'm at First Choice liquor and none of the bottles of any variety have QR code :(

  • These cool cabanas were $99 a couple of years ago

    • +1

We paid $150 for ours a few years ago, but the one in OP is a new bigger size

  • What about this one - any comments on quality ? $55

    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/tropical-leaf-cabana-431783…

    • I've never used but I've seen them on the beach and quality looks nowhere near the same

    • That one is much smaller and doesn't fold down as small as cool cabanas.

    • +2

1.7m x 1.7m will only give shade to one person while standing from 11:40 to 12:20!

    • Based on the "photo", the kmart cabana only provide shade with its 4 pillars. Bargain!

    • +1

Looks smaller and their wine probably tastes worse.

    • +2

We bought and used our Kmart one over the weekend. It has a plastic screw in base, which struggled with the sand and broke first go. Ironically, the family next to us were using a CoolCabana faultlessly.

Needless to say, I will be returning the Kmart one and will be getting very drunk under a CoolCabana :)

    • +1

We have the Kmart one, only used it about 6 times so far but it does the job.
As others said doesn't fold down as small (it's long enough that it has to go slightly diagonally in my boot).
And doesn't provide as much shade - my tip is to get jumbo pegs to attach towels to make a wall.

  • -2

I'm not liking the looks of this, the terms have changed, to $199. I might have remembered reading get the cobana for $50 in the terms.

    • +1

The picture on the website in the deal says "get a large coolcabana for only $50 (RRP $249)", so would be dodgy if they tried to say it was a $50 off promo

      • +1

We won't know until its done deal, thats why I'm keeping the receipts and will return the wine if its only $50 off.

    • +1

It says "save $199" on the cool cabana website promo page.

  • +1

I've got one of these and love it. No complaints here. For approx $95 for a large one, great deal! albeit only having one colour choice.. still a great deal!

  • +10

It's gonna be easy to spot an OzBargainer now on the beach :-)

  • The terms says 1 per household not sure if they will honor 2 unless you do seperate receipt and shipping address

  • epic! I'm trying to order from woolworths online, does this come from BWS, Dan Murphys or some warehouse? Anyway hopefully doesn't matter and I get a receipt and can make a claim. Can anyone confirm if it's a generic QR code link on the little yellow sticker in case my bottles don't come with one??

    • +1

I can only confirm that I purchased the wine through BWS and bought 2 x 6 on different days and submitted both sales individually and waited 2 days for confirmation email with discount code! Then followed link and bought 2 Cabanas for $50 delivered ( 2 x transactions) Confirmation email received ! Easy as!

      • +1

What does the email look like? i.e. subject/address of the sender/content

  • Gift Description:

The gift is a discount voucher to purchase a Yellow Tail CoolCabana Beach Cabana for $199 (normally $249 without discount voucher), redeemable at www.coolcabanas.com.au/pages/yellowtail.

    • But when you go to the website, the banner across the top says $50.

    • Confusing promo ever !

    • I'm pretty sure that the first sentence has been updated from $50 to $199 since this deal was posted

      • +3

Well they're also going to have to update all the little labels on their bottles, because they all confirm it's $50.

  • +5

6x Yellow Tail Sauvignon Blanc for $28.20 at Dan Murphy's in VIC (with account) . T&Cs don't mention anything about what variety of wine, and this is by far the cheapest

    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/394840/99199/screensho…

    • Dan stores are allowed to price match online members prices, particularly from Dan’s own website. Speaking from personal experience in NSW

    • Oddly enough seems to be delivery only in Vic

      • Yeh it did say that but when I added to cart I was able to change to click and collect. I got the order ready for pickup email too!

    • Showing 51.30 for me :/

      • +1

Add 6 bottles seperately, don't get a case

        • +1

Was editing my comment ops :p

I had my store set to else where. Back to vic and its showing the same :)

Do you know if it can be 6 different wine?

          • +1

@sushimaster: To qualify for the CoolCabana deal, I wouldn't think it would be an issue as long as there are 6 Yellow Tail and all 750ml! But don't quote me hahab

        • Shit i bought 6 bottles, but receipt showed as case

    • Ooh thanks for the tip!

  • Do we really have to buy a bottle/s with small label attached.

    • +3

I don't think so as the little label is just a QR code taking you to this page where you enter your details. It isn't unique and there is no code to enter, just upload your receipt. The only thing is that the QR code sticker might identify whether the store is a "participating retailer", but I feel like most stores will be
