Yes people have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Rodimus Prime but this is still an awesome Transformer.

I meant Rodimus Prime, would have been around 1990 that I got the original toy. Was a fairly decent version, no doubt would be worth a bit had all the toys not been donated/chucked over time.

Had the original generation Hot Rod car. Was my favourite and best character in the movie. That's long gone.
My brother got Kup and I recently gave that to my kids. Couldn't believe it when I found it broken in half a few weeks back. Shouldnt of been surprised when I found a robotech broken in my yard recently as well.

Someone gave my kid a Transformer last year and it was idiotically hard to actually transform. When I was a kid it was kinda self-explanatory, this thing literally had like 25 steps in the instructions, none of which were intuitive.
Bought it for my son as a Xmas present. Even more worth it compared to everyday kid's toys these days. Thanks OP.

Different characters for starters. If you want an even cheaper Hot Rod check out the studio 86 version. Smaller but still an amazing transformer.
