  • Does say new customers only, so maybe also 1 sim only?

    • They didn't track last October sales. CW is a hit and miss.

I'm confused @ new customers. I bought a sim from one of the previous Boost cashrewards deals so does that mean I won't get cashback if I buy this?

    • Yes. I would like to know the exact definition of "New Customer" in the eyes of Boost Mobile & Cashrewards.

I assume if I activate the SIM under the same ID as a previously activated Boost Mobile SIM, then cashback would eventually decline.

      • Me too, I would like to purchase one for my teenage son but I am hesitant because I'm not sure if because the ID will be the same but will be a different phone number will I get cashback and data bonus??

        • I guess no ones knows the answer to this question with certainty?

    • You'll get cashback. I've done it multiple times.

  • Think the "new customers" bit is just for the extra data promotion. There's nothing to say that the SIM itself is for new customers only or that it would invalidate cashback

    • +5

It says it right on the sim order page. They can tell it's you when you provide ID so should be able to tell you're an existing (or former) customer. So this needs clearing up.

  • +6

Yeah i raised the alarm on "new customers" on the last deal.

@tightarse we need your confirmation please

    • +1

Anyone got a confirmation on this yet?

  • +11

I must be on some ASIO watchlist given the number of Boost prepaid new numbers that I have…

    • +1

      You're not the only one.

  • Am I reading this right? The cashback is $18 for 40GB prepaid SIM but it is priced at $9 on the website..

    • No.

$40 SIM has cashback of $18… that’s the 55GB one priced at $15 currently

40GB SIM has cashback of $11

      • +2

I see I guess I got the price and data mixed up lol

        • +2

I think you are just the sort of customer Boost are looking for

  • Anyone know if Boost Prepaid hotspotting from a MiFi device or WiFi egg/modem type of thingy would work?

    • +1

      I've done this without problems.

  • Thanks, I smell Richard!

    • Do you like fishsticks?

  • Still haven’t received any shipping information since I ordered the $160 sim on 12 Nov. Anyone got the sim from that deal?

    • Normally they arrive within several days, so I suggest giving them a call

  • +1

Why isn't Shopback giving any such upsized cashbacks? I'm dont have CashRewards yet, time to jump the Cashback provider?

    • +2

Why not have both? Polygamy is allowed here

    • Good question. As an outsider, I would say CR has a special agreement with Boost to use this kind of deal to drive up both users base. On the other hand, Woolworths Mobile was pulled down off CR for other reason while it remains on SB. (Negotiation has not reached an agreement.)

      • +1

Thanks. Valid points. But off late, I see CR as better than SB overall. I hardly find any good deals on SB. Also they have reduced Uber Cashback to 0, and discontinued Doordash as well.

      • +3

Hi. Only reason Woolies mobile is off CR for the time being is due to the error on click through on Woolies landing page. Try elsewhere and you’ll find the same thing happens. We’ll have them back the minute it’s fixed :)

        • can you help me? What's with your site? You can no longer enquire about missing cashbacks. Clicking the button takes you to your click history but there's nowhere that you can enter missing details.

Does CR automatically freeze your account if you haven't made a transaction in a while? Maybe that could be the reason. But it did allow me to click through still and shows my click history. If this is the case, they should have just notified me that I'm terminated.

@lostn: Hi. Nothing has changed with the claims process.

The claim button appears in your click history against the relevant click once 7 full days have passed. This is to allow for any tracking to land before members make a claim.

The other way to contact us is via the link below, with various options. Thanks.

            • @tightarse: Do you disable inactive accounts?

              • +1

@lostn: Accounts are never disabled unless (1) requested by the owner, or (2) found to be fraudulent (and owner notified).

Further, an inactive account of 12 months or more may lose its rewards balance as per terms of service, but the member is notified one month in advance. Member needs to generate at least one click every 12 months to avoid this.

                Hope this helps. Thanks.

                • +1

@tightarse: Can you clear up if this is ok to buy for existing (or former) Boost customers, as it does say 'new customers only' on the product page.

                • @tightarse: I made some purchases but some didn't track and others did track but were declined. Would that reset the 12 month timer?

        • So, I bought this deal for my wife and I on 29/11. I ported from Boost to Kogan 30/11 and my wife 9/12. Can we port back to Boost within 30 days to activate the sim as new customers and get cashback? I can’t see the answer and people are relying on your input. Cheers

  • Thanks OP, stacked with a $10 bonus the wife had on her account.

  • It's 28 Nov so anyone wonder what happens if you activate after 28 Nov after this promotional bonus data condition expires. I talked to Boost support that they CAN (ie. you probably need to call them or chat online for this request) manually apply the bonus data if ever you will purchase the sim kit today (or tomorrow) so you can still activate it once you receive it and still get 55GB of data on your first 3 recharges.
    Very good support, Boost!

    • +1

Just purchased this and the new date for bonus data now is 30 Jan 2023. Also 60gb data now. Received CR tracking email in 2 minutes

  • Can I be able to port out from boost and port back in straight away?

    • Did you find out? I want to port back after a few weeks. I know with Kogan you need to wait for 31 days at least to be a “new customer”.

    • I contacted store rep and anyone porting back in is a new customer.

  • +2

I’ve purchased a few and they all went through and tracked.

Did one more and got the something went wrong message. Did think much off it, have got them in the past. But this time the money was taken out of my credit card. Didn’t get any email from boost and did not track. First time this has happened.

Hopefully it stays pending on my credit card and disappears

  • just get more issues, not happy at all, I have $5.32 credit balance in my account but after getting contact representative my account's credit balance was deducted by $18, should not happen at all, now my credit balance being negative -$12.68
