  There are many clones all from the same Chinese factories. I have had my ecowitt running for about 6 months now (from a previous deal). It is flawless and exceeds all of my expectations.

  The optional soil moisture sensors are a good addition - they have also been running for 6 months on a single AA battery. It is pretty convenient to lie in bed and know that you don't need to water the garden yet, as soil moisture is adequate.

        Probably need two, one the front yard rainfall and the other for the backyard rainfall.

  I also monitor indoor and outdoor temperatures and humidity. It is good to know when to open the windows or put on the airconditioner/dehumidifier.
