MSY are having an Asus cleanout and this model in particular looks a good deal. $100 cheaper than anywhere else I can find on staticice.
Comes with bonus external DVD writer and Office 2010 through redemption from Asus.

      It's crazy, isn't it? 10 years ago laptops had a vertical resolution of 768px and nowadays 95% of the laptops sold seem to still have it. Aside from the need to vertically scroll every web page, some sites have non-scrollable gallery popups where you can't even access the forward/back controls at this resolution. I ended up buying a slightly older Thinkpad just for the 1440x900 resolution even though it's a bit heavier and uglier than most current models.

    emailed yesterday, they told me it was 5400rpm. will get a ssd to replace it.

      I just bought the Toshiba Z830 for $899. Really happy with it.

      I was told you can't put SSD drives into Ultra books - hard to open up?

    my poo can run games faster then the Geforce 610m, better to just stick with a HD3000 as its not much slower at all.
