      • Yes. Google non-fermented soy oestrogen

Fermented soy has amazing health benefits, non-fermented not so.

    • +1

Damn, wait till you see the ingredients of all the lollies you can find EVERYWHERE.

    • +5

What's the problem with soy? It's one of the most nutritionally dense foods on the planet…

    • +7

People have been eating soy for thousands of years in China and Japan. If there was a serious problem with the food it's very likely we would have found out by now.

      • -7

        https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-55926248

        Coincidence ?
Also, Look at the hippie soyboys we have here in the west.

      • You got the right, only problem is we haven't been doing with food for thousands of years what we've been doing last 20, huge difference, we're soon gonna be eating bugs, recycled food and almost everything already has been modified or added shit load of synthetic additives, enjoy your future health.

      Soya

What is wrong with Soya? They feed it to cattle which then becomes human food.

      • -4

Meanwhile : Pigs eating their own 💩

        Your Logic : ?

        • +4

Do you equate eating your own crap the same as eating stuff you bought at the supermarket?

          ? your logic.

          • @netjock: You seriously want me to answer that question ?

I only objected to your logic (or the lack of) about ‘soya’ being good just because the cattle we consume, eats it too…

Yikes. Please continue to provide your opinion on vaccinations too while you're on a rant.

How many of these does Linda McCartney eat per year?

    • +6

      Zero

    • Before she passed away?

      • -2

Did she die of food poisoning?

        • +2

          She died from breast cancer.

  • +5

The Linda McCartney burgers are actually pretty good. Taste meat-ish, and if you put sauce on them there's little difference.

    • +1

      Linda McCartney burgers

      Ouch

    • +2

The Linda McCartney burgers are actually pretty good.

What % Linda McCartney are they?

  • Does the stock checker work for anyone?

    • No shows out of stock for me everywhere.

    • Available in stores around me in Vic

Btw yes, stock checker in ww website is working just fine.

  • +1

These go great in the air fryer, wouldn't bother buying for more than half price and still a lot of Saturated fat. People complaining about the ingredients lol. Still junk food but better than meat equivalents.

PS. Just get the chicko rolls.

    • While chiko rolls only have 4% meat, that's 4% too much for most vegetarians.

      • Yeah I had to look twice, they almost make the cut. No reason to put meat in them then. It's probably not real meat anyway just a tiny amount of flavouring.

Depends how strict one is about it but I can understand the slippery slope of this and that for some people. I occasionally fall back to vegetarian, that's mostly it and it's by choice not allergies etc. Some vegans wouldn't touch stuff with small amount of dairy in (like salt and vinegar crisps) but hopefully eating much healthier stuff anyway- not worth making a massive deal over imo

      • -6

1% logic is too much for most vegetarians/vegans. ;-p

  • the jokes on ozbargain is real bargain

soon theyll be taxing your farts bro…youve been warned

      • The mental midget AOC (or: "cow farts for brains" as the great Mark Dice says) will cry.

  • +2

Can you taste Linda McCartney's rolls? Neither can she…..

  • +2

Heavens, how does she get the time to make all these?

    • Heavens

      You don’t say..

    • Its a bit of an ask seeing she is dead……

  • +1

How do you call it a sausage roll… with no sausage

    • +2

sausage is the shape of the filling + surrounded by pastry = sausage roll

"sausage" is a better term to describe any food that is cylindrical. the alternative name would otherwise be penis.

    • The same way you answer: "What is a woman."

Damn… After typing that I realised it's funny on more than one level.

      • +1

        Interesting doco that

  • Isn't a vegetarian sausage roll just a "roll"?

  • +2

Palm oil!? They may as well make Dead Orangutans one of the ingredients.

  • I'd rather play "Maybe I'm Amazed" backwards.

    • Throw in the Dance and we have a deal..

What do you call a dog with Wings?

    Linda McCartney.

    I'll get my coat…..

  • I never thought I'd see Linda McCartney and sausage rolls in the same sentence.

  • howabout…

    yoko ono bug dumplings?

  • +5

For all the chatter on here I actually tried some last night. Tasted like a sausage roll. Less numbers on the box than 'regular' sausage rolls too.

  • +2

    these are excellent!

  • Waiting for her Salad Roll Meat Lovers 6 Pack. Apparently this will have Wagyu-based lettuce, and pork-based shredded carrot, completed with sausage based cucumber. It even has a choice of bbq sauce based mayo. Yummo.

Wow, this thread of comments is what's wrong with the Internet 😔

    • sauce or no sauce?

    • This is what happens with freedom of speech when people go down the rabbit holes.

A balanced diet is a good thing , I know I could do with more fruits and vegetables in my diet .

Value wise it's probably worth a try I reckon .

      • +2

Yeah it's as easy as that, the puff pastry is pretty great in the air fryer, even carnivores would like it.

Funny how all these meat eaters and keyboard warriors are suddenly nutritional experts as soon as a non-meat product is discussed.. pretty precious haha.

      • -3

you think this soy slop concoction is 'vegetables' or 'part of a balanced diet'? lol!

        • You should ask the farmers who grow soya beans if their crop has nutritional value?
Some even run cattle on the same property.
I know it's all a bit confusing for you , maybe you should have a lie down .

          • @Darth Bogan: must be all the crickets & mealworms ive been eating lately…(as endorsed by the wef and australian media)
they tastes disgusting… so i know im helping fight climate change one mouthful of crunchy crickets at a time!!!

            • @franco cozzo: Ok ,ok , now it's time for your nap .

            • @franco cozzo: Nothing wrong with soy.
(Except that and most grains go to feeding livestock).

Funny all the ignorance in general.

              • @G-rig: ignorance is the lack of knowledge. which is easily fixed by ….researching. being ignorant and relishing in repeatedly exposing yourself of such is just stupidity.

                • @altomic: Yes either way.. A lot of people don't want too research or too stubborn to change.

                  • @G-rig:

                    too stubborn to change.

                    you're very polite and forgiving
                    :)

                    • @altomic: Didn't phrase it that well but you get the idea. Most Aussies just hell bent on their meat and wouldn't even consider a meat free day. Things should change in the future eventually.

Everyone is free to do what they please but agree that there is no need to troll and comment on all these threads. Just bored no doubt.

                      • @G-rig: Being offended at what others like to eat is the new trend for sheeps. Sad.

                        • @Ughhh: nah ….sheeps is what were putting on the barbie maaaate!!!!

                        • @Ughhh: Not offended just gets repetitive..

                  • -2

@G-rig: mate ….tofu or vegetarianism isnt anything new or unique
some people just dont like eating bland sponge like curds of soy protein

                    • @franco cozzo: Sure champ.

I bet you haven't even tried these.
Plenty of alternatives not just soy. It's just laziness and close mindedness. You stick to your steaks, fairly expensive now at least.

  • What's with everyone on this site being so triggered by veg alternatives?
Sorry- but the truth is these products curb water use, carbon emissions and animal cruelty.
Eat meat all you like- you're free to do so & I won't stop you nor make fun of you for it.
These products aren't perfect- but neither is the alternative, or really anything in this world.
