Login to your Telstra Plus account via desktop or mobile browser and you should be able to see this deal on the main page by scrolling down a little (see screenshot.)

Get 2,000 bonus points for every 10,000 points redeemed before 25/12 to spend on your next redemption.

I believe redeeming the free movie tickets does not apply to this deal because when you click on “See offers” (see screenshot in deal link), it brings you to a page with all the offers which does not include the free movie tickets offer.

    • i got that Belong $80 sim a few months and was gonna port out right at the end of 3 months but 2 days before they charged me $20 for next prepaid billing period.
      i called them to complain but they claimed that they have a 28-day billing, so i told them that they had false advertising as it should be 3 months, but the guy wouldn't budge.
      i really should've cancelled it earlier but was stupid
      Does anyone have any tips to try claim back the money?

      • Bill on the same day of a month, 28 to 31 days.

        Use a debit card to register, leaving only a few dollars if not zero balance on it.

    I spent 10,000 points. Checking the points history area and it says points will appear in "around 10 days".
    It's been over 10 days now almost 12 days since spending 10,000 points still no bonus points are appearing.

    • I am just on 2 days past and haven’t seen any indication in my account of the 2k points.

        Because I need the extra 2000 points to pay for the delivery of another item.

        Shouldn't have to chase it up though how hard can it be for the system to auto add the points to all 10,000+ purchases??

        • Complain to them and perhaps they may give you some extra points to keep a customer happy.

            @ilovefullprice: Yeah thanks that does give me the motivation to get it done.

            I am a patient person so I am willing to give it another day or two. I just wanted to get an idea if anyone else got their points yet and how long it took.
            If Telstra say "around 10 days" I would think they are overestimating e.g. it usually only takes 7 days, so 10 days with some error.

            Edit: Ok turns out my mistake for reading what it says in the Points area on the App and not reading what it says on the Xmas offer, it says "Bonus points will be applied to your account between 25 December 2022 and 8 January 2023."
            So looks like in this offers case it takes more like 25+ days not the usual 10.

  • No points still. Speak to support and now they are playing dumb asking if I have a link to the offer as if I were lying about the whole promotion.

But I'm wondering if I misunderstood the promotion - I assumed it applied to any Telstra Plus redemption over 10,000 points and wasn't limited to the items shown in the "See Offers" section. I don't think the item I got with my points was shown when I originally clicked the "See Offers" link.

        I assumed so too. Page is gone now but it was pretty clear to me it was 2000 bonus points per 10,000 points spent during the promotion period.

        Whatever the case I have invested more time than I expected into this now so I am just not going to bother. All this for a free charging cable lol.

    • Ironically, I contacted Telstra today, to enquire about this exact same thing….
      Haven't received any bonus points for my 54k order, which should bet me another 10k bonus points….

      Enquired today with Telstra and they said the same thing.
      "We don't see that promotion"

      It was a HUGE header/banner whenever you opened the rewards store page.

              You got further than I did.

              I just got stuck in a loop.
              Start first chat, hey "this is my problem". They say they are getting hammered you might wait a bit. After 45 mins no response so I close tab.

              Second chat. We are still getting hammered. After 30 mins, Telstra "name" asks for some details, I give them but another 30 minutes go by and no response. I close tab.

              Third time chat. (previous "name" has replied but that was from yesterdays chat) Another Telstra "different name" says they will forward it to Telstra Plus and asks for the same details! lol. Again after that no response.
              I have never clicked the X on the chat window and ended the chat so all this is talking to 3 different names in a single chat session. It auto opens and resumes when you open the browser and go to the telstra plus page.

              So yeah if I keep going at this rate I am going nowhere.
              I tried to get other stuff done but I have probably invested over an hour into this now and the progress is frustratingly slow. Not slow actually it's not progressing at all lol. They can keep their 2000 points.

        Telstra is alleging the promo didn’t start till 15 Dec.

        • Hi mate, the screenshot is in the post (click “see screenshot”). I went through my phone and unfortunately I don’t have it with a timestamp.

          I don’t recall seeing the condition that this deal starts on 15th Dec. The Telstra app is poorly done and I don’t recall seeing a T&Cs link to click on in the app for this deal.

          Perhaps @blacksmithnpc could assist?

            I didn't take a screenshot sorry and I don't recall the exact period the promotion ran.

        • Try asking them to send you the T&C screenshot of the condition which says the promo starts from 15th Dec. Tell them you and several other independent people don’t recall seeing this condition.

    Just got off chat with Telstra.

    They said my purchase on 7 Dec didn’t qualify as it was outside of the promotional period of 15 to 25 Dec.

    Can you believe that?

    They are saying the promo wasn’t live on 3 Dec (so many of us have seen it here) and trying to make me believe that I saw the banner live, only that it wasn’t ‘live’ till 15 Dec?

    • Get in contact with Telstra again. You were given incorrect information.

      The promo duration for this starts 05/12/2022 - 25/12/2022.

      Did you also received SMS regarding this promo? I personally received one on 06/12/2022.

    Their Telstra Plus team alleges it started on 15 Dec till 25 Dec.

    And every time I contact them back, they parrot the same thing back to me.

    Hence I’m looking for some proof.

      Terrible. Can't believe everyone has to chase them up for the bonus points in the first place.
      The bonus points should have been automatically added to accounts by the system on the 26th Dec 2022 for everybody who made qualified purchases.

      Flybuys for me works without thinking, just activate bonus promo go to shops and the bonus points are added within 2 to 3 working days. It's not hard to have an working automated points system. Terrible system they are using.
      I am not going to bother claiming my 2000. They can keep it and I am not going to bother with Telstra plus promo's anymore.

    • Im unable to find any information if there's a separate promo running with similar offers for customer who didn't received the SMS.

      Information I've regarding this spesifically referring to "Christmas offers SMS sent to Telstra Plus members" with the duration between 05/12/2022-25/12/2022.

    • Ask to speak to a manager. You now have someone confirming this started on 5/12.

      I find Telstra call centre staff tend to BS a lot. You get different info. every time you speak to different people.

      • I know about the problems with Telstra call centre staff. I just need some concrete evidence to provide to the manager.

        • If no one here can help with a screenshot, I would ask the manager to provide me the T&Cs screenshot which shows the start date to verify.

    I had to contact Telstra to get 10,000 points and show screenshot of offer. I redeemed 50,000 points on 24 Dec.
    Unfortunately I can't help with start date as my screenshot didn't have a start date (same as OP).

    • Can you please post the screenshot of the offer that you had to show them? I think many people here would find that helpful.

  • Is this spend and earn? I just got 70,000 points and I don’t know why! But I probably have redeemed 360k points in total so did they calculate based on ALL historical spend?
