iOS Angry Birds Seasons iPhone and iPad Apps FREE

3120

Am I dreaming, I saw this in appshopper this morning. I've never seen any Angry birds games for free ever.  Not sure if this is a mistake or not.  I tried downloading both and they work!!  It doesn't say how long it will stay free, so get it while it last!!

Just downloaded on my iPad no problem. iTunes App of the Week. Get it while you can…

    • Where do you find the app of the week?

      Thanks

      • +6

        Theres an app for that.

        • +3

In all seriousness though the app of the week is on on the main screen of the app store in the featured tab.

        • Hahaha right

        • Thanks, I usually read App Store on my iPad in landscape, so missed the "app of the week" which is off the screen ( it's visible clearly in portrait).

  • cool

  • I thought it was always free - it is on Android, though there are paid full versions.

    • +2

There are free versions on iOS as well and they are labelled Free, they only have a handful of levels, like a "try before you buy" thing. This however is the paid versions with all the levels that is currently free. Again this is extremely rare and I don't know why Rovio (the guys who developed Angry Birds) would ever need to make it free since Angry Birds product is the most successful set of iOS games ever produced.

      • As mentioned, the version on Android is completely unlocked, but it is just the generic Angry Birds. There are paid version for Rio, Seasons, etc, etc.

          ???

          https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.angr… seasons is free

          https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.angr… space is free

          https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.angr… rio is free

There are also ad free paid versions…..

        • Although I am an SIII user myself, I do agree with you in many ways.

        • Accidentally voted this guy up. Can someone do me a favour and neg this one for me?

        • I think the main reason is because Google doesn't have prepaid card like itune card. They asked for credit card details which a lot of peoples don't want to do that like me.

I would suggest if Google comes up with something similar more peoples will buy apps from Google play.

Maybe you could offer some kind of a retort rather than mindlessly voting down? No that would actually require some thought wouldn't it.

        • @superfover that's a good point.

        • Or something I can put money in under my account.

But I still think "iGoogle card" is a better idea.

So what you're saying is "Apple users are happy to waste their money on apps that Android users get for free"?

You clearly haven't looked at the Android apps on offer if you think they're "sub-par".

        • Or do both?

        • I've owned 2 Android tablets and I've used Android phones. If you truly think the majority of third-party Apps (ie. not made by Google) in Market/Play are up to the The App Store standards you truly are delusional.

I personally don't see supporting App Developers with my money as "wasting". If you like working for free maybe you'd like to wash my car for me at no charge?

        • NVM wrong comment.

        • .

        • Thanks, PainToad. I was wondering why Android gets sub-par third-party apps. I should have know it's because the users are "cheapass", "dick", "hippy", "kiddy", "fanboys". And here I was thinking that third-party developers gravitate towards iOS because of it's 65% market share. Silly me!

        • why do you always have to abuse everyone on this site?

So what you're saying is "Apple users are happy to waste their money on apps that Android users get for free"?

Yes, in the same way Apple users are happy to waste their money on overpriced igadgets

        • @johnno07, typical ignorant Android person sprouting incorrect facts. Android now has the largest market share. Try again?

        • @zelda707 its only everytime there there is an iOS/Android debate. I don't know why he gets so angry.

@PainToad, I'm pretty sure johno07 was being sarcastic

        • Hope I don't offend anyone.

        • -1

Trying again, PainToad as you are clearly much smarter than I. Obviously these statistics do not show a 65% market share for iOS vs a 20% share for Android as of last month: http://www.netmarketshare.com/operating-system-market-share.…

        • @johnno, another swing and a miss. Those stats are for mobile browsing, not device market share (ie. people who can buy apps). As of May Android had 50.9% compared to 31.9%.

It's long been know iOS users browse more even though their are actually more Android devices out there, I suggest further evidence Android users are cheap as they don't want to pay for data either.

          Maybe third times a charm?

    • +3

      I think it's $0.99 normally

    • 2.99foripad

  • I find this confusing. Does this include Android? When I go to the app on Google Play it is free: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.angr…

Is it always free? Or just today? Downloaded anyway haha

    • is this for Android tablet?

      • Nope for my Galaxy Note.

        • See above. Android is add supported.

    • its always free

  • Thanks

  • Thanks OP

  • Why are the birds so angry??? :<

    • Because you don't want to pay for it. I have the seasons version before but I think it is the ads support version.

    • +2

Green pigs stole their eggs and fried them.

      • I always knew green pigs were evil!

  • I've had this on my AppShopper wishlist for ages. Thanks for sharing :)

  • +1

wow talk about Cheep! (get it? bird noises?) I kill me sometimes.

    • Don't give up the day job dude ;D

    • +2

      Give him a break, it's a bird joke :) I find it funny, but then again I'm a bird…

      • Lol, well done.
Great deal, poor game. good while its on offer, but i would never buy it. Heaps more enjoyable games. And to the jackass who proclaims android users are cheapasses. I have spent more money on apps on my android device, than i have on my apple devices. The worst thing a member can do is stereotype part of the community. You got negged by most of us because you are shallow and without knowledge.

  • General iOS question. The first itunes link says:

"Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 3.0 or later."

Why would anyone bother with the 2nd itunes link for just the ipad?

    • +3

I think they are different.. Ipad is the HD version

      • different app/file altogether. i'm not an advocate of this strategy but it basically means they can price them differently.

  • worked for me, cheers

  • Thankyou…my son loves this game :)

  • Ah…. There's more sheep than i imagined.

  • Yeah, free HD version..

  • i downloaded Seasons and Rio last Nov when i got my android tablet. i didn't pay anything and i doubt it was a special then. on a side note, i downloaded whatsapp when i think my friends with iphones need to pay for it ;p

    • Those free android versions are full of ads.

      • Barely…. Have you actually played them? I've never seen an ad.

  • Thanks, was just thinking about getting the HD version today - good timing!

  • Thanks.

    • The positive button is there to save you typing, and it probably means more to the OP

    • Can you not see all the other comments explaining how these are ad supported? Jez I thought Android people were meant to be ohhhh so much smarter than Apple fans.

  • Thanks op, can't complain for free
