    If it's 1,000 points for first bookings only, it would be better to use the referral code here on OzB - he/she will still get 1,000 points and a lucky referrer will get 500.

        Referral code should work with a restaurant's discount. What message were you getting when applying the code? And just checking…this is your first booking?
