    Perth to Singapore $150-200 but return leg $650-$900. I don't know what normal prices are these days but doesn't seem like much of a deal unless you're going one way for some reason.

      Depends on what days, for example march 4 to 12, Syd to Singapore is around 450 return.

      Keep mixing dates and you find might great deals.

      For example I did a return flight 1 day later and it was 200 dollars dearer.

      True story Basil. Just put in 6-16th Feb return to Ho Chi Min and the cheapest return fare with Scoot is $616 which makes a mockery out of the one way from OZ special.

          Do you have any tricks / algorithms that can get tables to see lowest on return (even if return leg is not as great of a deal) as I think most will want return… or do we just keep clicking around on the "Low Fare Calendar" on your site once picking a departure date, entering an example return date, and see how we go with trial and error?

      There are a few $199 SGN-PER return leg flights late March on the scoot website at this moment.

          "super" seats with 30% more legroom are $17 per flight
          "stretch" seats with 50% more legroom are $50-55 per flight

        It includes taxes & fees but you need to add fee for checked-in baggage & seat selection if you want this.
        Also these prices are "from" & typically only a few dates at the cheapest prices.

      As you've experienced Jetstar holding your money to ransom, try Scoot: flight cancelled, money only refunded as a voucher, no rebooking offered. Only available alternative flights were 3x original price.

      Yep Scoot is great! Have flown them from GC. Scoot Silence is what you want. No kids and you get off the plane quicker than the rest of economy!

      it means 2 stops but you could get singapore return for <$550

      Scoot use B787's for all but their short-haul flights. If you are flying to Malaysia or Thailand from Singapore, you'll be stuck on their old Tiger Air A320's.

    Found return Sydney/Ho Chi Minh City 1-10 March for $418 which is so sweet, but $308 for 1 check luggage, yikes :(

        Have been to HCMC three times and you definitely only need 7kg worth of luggage. Scoot's a bonus at 10kg carry on.

          Eight days in a tropical climate. Should be easy with 10kg. Luggage should never (almost) double your fare for a short trip like this.

          I know some good Vietnamese hairdressers and laundries in HCM too.

            @Charlie Dont Surf: Exactly. Go to HCM all you need are a few shirts, shorts undies and thongs. Same day laundry at any hotel will only cost a few dollars, even cheaper if you know locals that do it.

      I went to Bangkok 3 weeks ago and it will rain randomly for like 15 mins to 45 mins then you can get back to whatever you're doing.

      Pretty much the same. Qantas is 32" pitch and 17" width. Scoot is 31" pitch and 17"-19" width (It feels like the wider seats are in the Scoot Quiet section).

      If you're willing to pay Qantas prices though, you may as well fly up front with Scoot in ScootBiz. It's the same seat as Qantas in their B737 and Jetstar's B787. I've flown it countless times and is my preferred way to fly to Singapore.
