    I'd rather save $2

    • +9

its a great way of saving money

  • +1

    Absolute bloody bargain

    • +3

These are truly awful. I wouldn't take one if you gave me $2.

      • Yeah I bought one the other day for the full $13 thinking it would be good for my TV PC.

They are so bad, connection issues and so poorly made.

feedback doesn't sound great here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/710426

    • +22

why else do they need to sell them for $2 to get rid of them…

    • You're not buying them to use them, you're buying them for aesthetics.

      • Im buying them to flex and assert dominance in the office.

Pair this with the Razer Kraken BT Kitty Edition.

Them plebs at my work shall heed whenever they are around me.

      • Buy 2, tape them to paper box = foot rest.

  • +3

Hot pink is the new blue fella's

    • +3

That's more of a dusty pink mate.

      • You must know your pinks better than me.😉

        • +16

I have a lot of experience with all kinds of pinks. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

    • +4

do you realise boys once wore pink and girls wore blue?

      • +4

        They still do.

        • +2

          How dare girls wear blue?!

          • @Munki: Ikr! It's such a masculine colour, can't believe the girls making all the alpha males look less domineering.

I find the whole concept hilarious personally.

          • +2

@Munki: You assume their gender? Im offended for them.

Prepare to be lambasted on every social media platform.

            🙃

    Landfill.

    • +6

      You need to start recycling

      • +1

I recycle, but I'm not the one buying this junk.

Have no doubt about it: most of these $2 units are going to go into landfill.

  • Kris kringle sorted

  • Prezzy for the inlaws sorted, just in time

    • +2

Until they found this post. :D

      • Can always regift…

  • I wish there was a Barbie keyboard.

  • +3

    Landfill

  • +1

    What switches are these?

  • +1

I tell you what, I purchased the anko gaming keyboard, the mini wired one and I can verify that it does work very well.

I purchased it to see how a cheap gaming mechanical keyboard will work and it is very nice to use.
Also have the anko battery pack for the switch which makes game time a couple hours longer.

  • +1

It says it's compatible with Mac OS 9+ and windows, but does anyone know if it would work on an android tv?

    • I would be pretty sure it would work.

    • Even if it dont. its $2. No great loss.

  • +2

Does anyone else's wife say 'you have too much stuff'

    • +2

      No but my husband does

  • +5

People who stuff Christmas stockings with things they clearly got from the clearance section / for free / got as a gift last year IMO are not living the Ozbargainer spirit.

You stuff them with awesome stuff you got for an amazing price on Black Friday / have acquired through great deals throughout the year.

    • +1

for the work kk you don't want to be part of but feel obliged to 'cos otherwise "you're not a team player", this would be the ideal gift to get with minimal effort.

some people like buying gifts, which is fine; others have enough on their plate without this added burden of making xmas all about gifts

    • +1

The best way to buy a gift is to just ask the person what they want. It doesn’t matter if it’s a surprise if it’s just gonna be regifted

      • Oh, a label maker! Label me thankful!

  • I wonder how much this costs to make if they can afford to price it at $2

    • +1

It would be incorrect to assume that something on clearance for $2 costs less than $2 to make. Very often clearances are under cost just to get rid of them.

  • +5

Actually bought this a while back at normal price and it was absolute garbage. Wouldn't even say it's worth the $2. Plastic is weak, keyboard couldn't handle more than a couple keypresses in quick succession (so if you're the least bit fast you have to slow down) and the mouse sensor was crap. Move on, don't buy it

  • +3

Tough choice, it's either this or a soft serve with flake…

  • +8

Word of advice: Only buy if you really need it, not just cause its a bargain. Because it will only end up collecting dust and taking up space and you will soon realize you will need to make tough choices about what to do with them. I can personally vouch for this cause i used to hoard a bunch of keyboards from Target that was slashed down from $25 to $2, both wired and wireless. Did not find a use for any of them at all cause my $99 ASUS mechanical keyboard works very well even today (10 years old), tried giving some away to friends and family but Keyboards outnumbered friends and family. At one point i donated one to work cause someone spilled Boba tea all over the keyboard and the terminal needed a keyboard to get work done. That being said, only buy if you need, don't go crazy like me.

    • ebay it!

      • +1

not worth it after all the fees involved

        • $14 inc postage to breakeven, even less with discounted stamps it's worth it.

      • +1

Anything about selling i have already thought and it is not worth the time and effort. Even if i was to sell for 2 dollars each, the cost of postage and handling outweighs the cost of the item itself and say i list it on marketplace or gum tree and say "hey its a dollar if you come get it", i just don't have the time to wait around or go meet up, no one is gonna even consider buying it and besides in this day and age, you can get a good decent quality keyboard from your local computer shop for a decent price, why bother buying from a dodgy looking listing on eBay.

        • +1

exactly why i don't sell on ebay or the various classifieds any more.
like you, it took me longer than i'd like to learn to carefully consider purchases. i have several kogan boards i bought stupid cheap and don't use any more but those were bought when i was starting out with mechs and wanted to test a variety of them

          • +1

@tdw: Pretty sure there are others like us out there but it's like the more we age the more we realise what bargain hunting and hoarding does to us and that pile of keyboards and useless electronics collecting dust in the corner is hard evidence of that, just wasting money, space and time.

            • @sgtdanny69148: If you don't want to sell it you could always give it away for free rather than have it eventually go to landfill. There are people out there who will take it.

Heck, I've even had people buy VHS tapes on ebay.

              • +1

@bettina44: I've had to consider many choices in between leaving it on the kerbside pick up and just putting it in the Ewaste bin at officeworks, like i said, i don't have time to sit around waiting for people to come pick up a cheap quality made keyboard, i try to to give it away to people i know but most of the time they don't need such things. VHS tapes and retro tech are bit different cause there are collectors out there who like to repurpose and reuse retro tech but a $2 dollar keyboard from target is hardly anything people would really want right now, even if i was just to sit at the local flea market for the whole Sunday with a sign that says 'Free', just not worth the time.

                • -1

@sgtdanny69148: You've probably spent more time typing this than leaving a box outside your house that says "free". Even if it did take a tad bit more time to find a good home for them, it's a good thing to do. I can see that there's altruism within you when you tried to give them away to friends and family, so if that offer is extended to strangers before dumping them into the e-waste (btw which is also good for the environment) it would not hurt.

If you're in Sydney, I'll gladly take them off you to donate to those in need.

  • +3

Thanks. Saw reviews so gave one to my ex and other to her partner

  • I bet they could not quite sell the Pink color version.

    • +1

Whatever gave you that idea? Was there a hint. A clue perhaps?

  • +1

might be useful for the a500 Mini

  • I am sure it's the Ozbargain way to drool over anything under 3 dollars. Now where is that napkin….
