Not very popular is it? What is it even for? PS5 VR2 doesn't need to use a camera I think. So this is for Just Dance only?

PSVR2 does not use cameras, has built-in tracking tech.
Just Dance isn't compatible with any cameras, you need to use your smartphone.

Alright thanks. I know next to nothing about gaming gear so that explains it so it's for streaming through the PS5 got it.
I read "background removal" somewhere when searching google for this cam so the first thing I thought of is Just Dance.
The PS4 version of Just Dance 2021 is compatibile with the PS4 camera on PS5.
It's the most useless PS5 accessory ever made. No, doesn't work for Just Dance. In fact, Just Dance 2023 doesn't even have a PS4 version so no more Move Motion Controller support. The only way to play is via the smartphone app (which sucks).
PSVR1 uses the PS4 camera with an Adapter on the PS5. PSVR2 has in-built camera. The only thing this is useful for is if you want to stream yourself playing a game or something.
The most useless accessory on PS5 unless you're a wannabe streamer.
Actually, I take that back, those cheap "cooling" stands with fans are the most useless ones since there's no openings in the PS5 at the bottom to allow airflow in and they're cheaply wired incorrectly sometimes which could cause damage.
The camera is the most useless official accessory.
Might be useless now but its a good steal at that price imo.
No idea if sony will expand on its functionally down the track. Given it hasnt told any developers of any changes to scalability at this point maybe its just a streamer device after all.

I stupidly bought one without doing any research. I thought it was like the PS4 camera that you could use as a microphone when playing online. I don't even know why mine is still plugged in - its completely useless.
Seems like Sony was just recycling all these accessories since PS3 at launch without knowing what they need: camera, media remote, etc
