Team T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (2x 16GB) DDR5 5600MHz RAM $239 + Delivery @ PC Case Gear

310

Been searching for a while, this seems to be a great deal reduced from $339.

From my research it's hynix and can easily OC to 6000mhz+

I bought

  • Actually bought this earlier today for my new build, hopefully its good.

  • I nearly bought this when the deal first appeared. They're not on the QVL list for the motherboard I want unfortunately.

  • I'm just looking for an ATX Mobo if anyone finds a z690 DDR5 deal 🙏

This is not guaranteed Hynix, it's also possibly Samsung, at least according to MSI's Z790 QVL

If anyone wants a guaranteed Hynix kit for $30 more, this is it: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/59536/kingston-fury-beas…

    • Yup just had a look at AsRock B650 riptide. It can be Samsung or Hynix.

      • How do you overclock to 6000mhz?

      • +1

5600 speeds with flat 36 timings are more likely Samsung than Hynix.

    • Isnt Hynix the brand everyone usually avoids? Thought Samsung was the gold standard for RAM?

      • Not for DDR5.

For DDR5, the higher clocked RAM is Hynix M die and Hynix A die. Hynix A die is the best DDR5 you can get, reaches up to 8000 MT/s. Hynix M Die is very consistent, it reaches mostly 6200-6400 MT/s. Even low end Hynix M die kits, say a 5600 MT/s kit can easily OC to 6200 MT/s.

Samsung DDR5 on the other hand is very difficult to overclock and be stable and reach high clock speeds in general. It sort of caps out around 6000 MT/s, but it's really hard for the timings to be stable on a board. It's really a b**ch to OC.

Micron is the worst DDR5, can't really go over 5200-5400 MT/s. I wouldn't even buy it unless you're content on buying just really cheap RAM for a simple build, like an office PC replacement or something like that.

But yes, for DDR4, it was the other way around, Hynix was middle of the road, Micron was bottom of the barrel (except maybe E Die) and Samsung B die was the gold standard. But even then, Hynix did have some really good DDR4 RAM later on Hynix DJR, high clocker but worse timings than Samsung.

        • Most are super accurate, but I'd like to add a bit on historical part:

Early ddr4 era: Samsung 4gbit E die OC the best, nothing from Hynix or micron beats it.

early to Middle DDR4 era: Samsung 8gbit B die become the king(by being able to tighten every timing), still nothing from Hynix or micron yet. (Hynix 8Gbit MFR AFR, Micron 8Gbit Rev B are all pretty bad)

Middle DDR4 era,Samsung 8Gbit B Die still is the king,Hynix made CJR which can reach high clock with looser timing(tRCD and tRFC can't be tighten ), soon after Micron come up with 8Gbit RevE does similar to CJR(loose tRCD, and looser tRFC).

Mid-late era: Samsung B die is still king…. Hynix made DJR which break world frequency record (not a great chip to daily as timing can't be tighten up and high clock usually will cap out by memory controller ) Micron beat the world record with high binned RevE, and micron starts to bin them really hard, high binned chip does pretty tight timing on everything except tRFC, I'd argue at this point Micron > Hynix.

Late DDR4 era, Samsung B still best but capacity is capped at 16G per stick. Micron made 16Gbit RevB which is as good as their RevE. Hynix has made 16Gbit CJR which OC worse than their 8Gbit CJR but well enough. With 16Gbit chip per stick max become 32GB.

Planning a build with the AMD 3D chips next year once they get announced and released.
Do you guys think the DDR5 will keep dropping or is it better to grab some deals now?

    • +3

I think it'll keep dropping… Or maybe you'll get 6000Mhz at this price or lower which it more the sweet spot for AM5 CPUs … No harm in waiting for boxing day either 🙂

    • +1

Probably next generation we'll start to see better prices as it goes from "prosumers" to more consumers.

  • +1

36-36-36-76 surely more likely to be samsung. Can purchasers please report back?

    • will probly take a week for anyone purchasing to receive unless purchased prior to this deal

    • Yes. I watched a video that suggested 36 timings are Samsung.

    • My DRAM modules are Hynix

  • Any one received their kit to confirm the ICs yet?

    • I've got mine, just installed today, yet to check anything or OC.or set XMP. I'll look at a guide to check ICs as ram OC and die is fairly new to me. I'll let you know of my results

    • I don't know what IC is but I checked DRAM in thyphoon and both my modules were Hynix. I believe this is good

      • This is a great price if it is definitely Hynix-m, it's basically perfect for Ryzen 7000 I believe should do 6000 cl30 as per the kits that were sent to reviewers to do Ryzen 7000 reviews at a significant discount if you don't mind manually setting your timings. Would be good to see your oc results.

        • +1

I'll be looking to OC today and will let you know how I go

    • +1

Just installed mine, cpuz says hynix, got it running @ 5600
