  • Can that trimmer trim small branch plant?. My plant branches grow out a lot

If it is the cheap grass trimmer with the plastic blade it would barely be able to trim anything thicker than single grass blade.

I've tried the trimmer out from a friend's one, it's really only good for like grass cutting, some weeds, depends how thick the weed stem is. It could probably cut like twigs as well, but yeah if it's tougher branches then the blade either snaps off or falls off.

      • Yup I have a similar experience with this trimmer. Only good for grasses and small/thin branches. I wouldn't recommend for a big yard or trimming tough/thick plants.

Bearable to use on small yards without thick foliage in the mix.

        • Can you imagine bits of those wires breaking off and flying around?

    • Definitely not

  • Like cutting grass with tooth picks. The blower is okay

    This timmer is sh…t
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It works fine if you know how to trim thick grass by layers instead of in one go. Just don’t expect it to work as fast or as easy as a thousand dollars lawn mower.

  • Will Bunnings at Sydney honour this price?

    • Bunnings doesn't price match clearance items.

  • i got this same deal on fathers day. nice and lightweight. this is a "grass" trimmer, does its job perfectly. don't try trimming anything else. then you want a brush cutter and not a grass trimmer.

  • damn! got it for $99 in Vic yesterday

    Nice…

    Nice

  • They really need to stop selling those plastic blade trimmers. They really suck and yeah, it will fly off everywhere when you use it and they aren't cheap to replace if you buy the "original" replacements.
If you want a trimmer, get the proper ones with the releasable lines.

  • That lawnmower for $599 in the photo is retailing at $769.

The trimmer is ok if you ditch the blades.
I have had some limited success with using the trimmer with a 3d printed line head. (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5453079)
Sometimes the line snaps quickly (or spins out?) and sometimes it lasts my whole yard.

Im considering trying to attach one of these bump heads from ebay…
