Disney Plus Yearly Membership: TRY₺649.90 (~A$52) + ₺33.29 (A$2.57) Admin Fees @ Disney Plus via Turkey (No VPN Required)

4320

While the previous deal was marked expired due to the increase of Disney Plus memberships, I thought it would be a great idea to re-share this workaround (since it’s still ~60% cheaper than Aus membership ($139.99)1 :) ) and credit to the original OP and Pricebeat for their methods

For Android users:

  1. Create new Google account on phone
  2. Delete cache in Google Play Store (not sure if needed)
  3. Select new account in Google Play Store
  4. Add payment method and select Turkey as Country.
  5. Uninstall Disney+ if you have it installed.
  6. Open Google Chrome/browser on your phone in an incognito window. Set your window to desktop mode.
  7. Search Disney+ on Google Play store in your browser.
  8. Log in on new account and remote install Disney+ to your phone
  9. Open app on phone and pay in TRY

For iOS users:

  1. Create Turkish Apple ID

Go to https://appleid.apple.com/account
Follow the onscreen steps. In the mobile number section use your Australian mobile number (Very important to use a valid number or risk losing your ID). Choose country as Turkey. Then follow through the rest to create your ID. Login into Apple ID on a browser. Go to this link to enter a Turkish address to your Turkish Apple ID and save.

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone/iPad > Your Name > Media and Purchases > Log out from your current ID and login with your Turkish Apple ID

  2. Go to App Store and download Disney Plus app > A pop up may appear to confirm your details > Choose payment method as “None”

  3. Buy TL iTunes gift cards from TurGame (50TL/TRY x 13 gift cards) > Choose currency as TL/TRY and pay with international transaction fee free card.

  4. Redeem iTunes gift cards(apple.co) by going to App Store > Account (located at right top corner) > Redeem gift cards or code.

  5. Open Disney Plus App > Sign Up

      “Thanks Greg!”

  • Would be nice to do Netflix the same way

Hmm…neg'd….please explain? Disney are well known for forcing their woke ideology on people, destruction of all male characters, plummeting popularity, plummeting profits, calling any viewers who leave negative critism racist or xxxxphobic, deleting negative review metrics and only quoting and allowing review metrics that align with their woke ideology.

      • +7

So, just like any other US corporation?

      • -3

There are a lot that lean in a certain direction on this forum hence the negs. Also if just reading local news sites and listening to tv and radio, you would barely even know what's going on in the states and with twitter leaks as well. The rate Disney+ is going and losing 1.5billion in the last quarter it may not even be around much longer.

        • yea bro 57% subscriber growth YoY is definitely a struggling company

        • +9

          hence the negs

No, it's just not true hence the negs. The second I see someone unironically use "woke" is when I can assume they're a Qanon Alex Jones consumer tier of person.

      • +1

Well known among crazies who like to invent their own persecution. Step outside your bubble.

      • For those who still think Disney is doing well…

Regardless of what you think about "woke" media, it's just cringey to cry about it on this site.

No one here gives a shit. we want to talk about deals.

I have to agree. If Im going to hell, I don't want to pay retail for the experience!

And its not like all the others are any better too, its hollywood ~ its broken

I'm glad I got in early and signed up last week for $28!

    • How ?

    • +1

I forgot to renew it. when i remembered it was on the same day it changed the price.but $52 is still better.

  • +11

It's turkiye now, like how Kanye is Ye

  • When did Disney increased their yearly subscription? I got automated deducted $119 on the 5th October 2022.

    • +1

      8th December.

Just confirming, once signed up via your phone, can you watch by logging in on your native TV app? Would rather not have to stream to the TV to watch…

    • +6

Yes, there's no issues signing into the app on various devices without a VPN. It works just fine.

  • +1

Can this be done with an existing lapsed Australian Disney+ account or does it need to be a new one? On Android.

    • +3

      Yep works for existing account

  • Whew,i paid $28.61 via this method 11 days ago.

ps; I needed to use a VPN ,but cannot remember at which part.

    • No VPN required with Turkish Apple ID

  • Are you sure you can watch this without vpn after sign up? I use my friends Indian Disney plus but it needs vpn and it struggles due to speed of vpn.

    • +5

That’s because it’s not Disney plus. It’s Disney plus Hotstar. Different app.

      • -1

Hotstar fried chicken with a side of Disney plus.

    • Which vpn, isn't it that India banned all VPN server hosting a year ago?

      • +1

They didn’t ban it. They want the companies to keep logs. That’s why most quit.

Getflix still has Indian physical VPN server.

But I usually use their DNS service

  • For Android users in Step 6, what does it mean by “Set your window to desktop mode.”? Does it mean that Chrome mobile browser allows you to switch between mobile browser mode and desktop browser mode?

    • +1

Click on the tickbox in the menu Desktop Site

      • Ah ok thanks, so I guess one of the main difference is how websites are displayed slightly differently between mobile vs. desktop browser mode.

        • you dont need it, you love full price anyway!

  • Is this price a special price or an ongoing Turkish Disney + annual fee?

    • Ongoing unless they increase the fee later (like YouTube premium)

    • Probably will be double in lira given the current inflation there.

  • +2

how about the other usual bargain countries - does argentina have a deal?

  • +6

Thanks for this! I just got the email that my sub will go up to $139.99 which is too much.

    • +6

      From $89.99, to $119.99 to $139.99.

Easy decision to let it lapse.

      • Mine's still saying $119, due in February.

        • UPDATE: not anymore. I'm cancelling.

  • +2

Is the content different? I couldn't find any of my Marvel shows.

    • I’m on iOS turkey account. I can watch Marvel. Make sure your profile setting has no restrictions.

    • +22

I couldn't find any of my Marvel shows.

      Sounds like a great feature.

    • +1

Looks like Thanos snapped his fingers

    • The content delivered is based on the country where you’re watching. You can access different content by changing country using VPN (and i think also smartDNS).

  • I got this last time. Will it stack onto my current subscription?

  • -1

Does it mean we can do the same for other subscriptions like Netflix, NBA ?

  • +5

    content is quite sparse

    • +4

log in and change age restriction

  • Wish to purchase a higher value TUR apple GC
50TL is just too small to top up

  • I'm on the Australian Disney +. Would I be able to stack up with this Turkish account?

    • I believe since Disney+ use iTunes account as country detection, as long as you login using a aTurkey iTunes account then the subscription via AppStore will use Turkey currency

So it should work even with yours existing Disney+ account that originally signed up in Australia (as long as there’s no active subscription)

      • Hmm… then I have to wait to next October to do this deal. My AU Disney + just renewed on the 5th October 2022.

        • Same for me too
I used the Telstra 1 year free deal and will expire in early 2023

  • So it sounds like you can't do this if you have an active subscription, am I right in that conclusion?

    • +1

Yeah, wait until your current sub period ends and then do this.

    • This deal is actually almost a doubling in price for the Turkey region? Weird rant.

    • Saying the "w" word on here appears to get you negged instantly on here. But they all seem to think Disney is going well. Not sure what they are reading

  • has any one tried Disney plus from India ? its even cheaper tahn Turkey.

    • +1

It's Hotstar and Disney in India which is different to Disney+. Your Disney+ subscription won't work in India.

      • is this two diffrent things or just country content is different ?

        • +2

          Two different things and apps.

    • I had hotstar working until next week, I unsubscribed as the app is horrendous and so unreliable. Real debrid with stremio is better value and quality.

  • +1

Just tried this and it works. Thanks OP

  • +9

I unsubscribed recently. Not sure it's even worth the 55 bucks

    • +2

Unless you like Disney, Marvel, Star Wars franchises it is a bit light on I suppose. The Bear was a nice surprise though, can't wait for season 2.

    • I signed up using this method a few months back for $3/month. I can just about find $3/month worth of content, but it’s a stretch. Pretty sure i won’t renew!

  • How many devices can it be streamed on at same time?

  • +6

The google account I created for this and only this got banned just fyi.

    • Banned after paying for Disney+ in TRY currency? Does your Disney+ still work?

      • Sorry I didnt see your reply. Yeah, after paying in TRY currency.
The Disney+ itself still works. But I'm not sure how it will go when it comes time to renew it as it's no longer possible for me to access the google account.

  • Up for renewal in a couple of days with my Australian account. Can I use this in any way to keep my current profiles etc?

    • yes, as you are using your existing credentials, all your profile and watch history would be present.

  • +1

Thanks OP for posting a step by step instruction on how to may via google.

  • Worked for me as well! A note for people who already have the login details saved on Google Passwords: when opening the Disney plus app on the phone if your previously login is saved it will automatically logging to it unless you quickly click close.

    • Are you saying a second Disney account is required too? I followed all the OP steps but my Disney account still shows AUD

      • No, if you already had a subscription before that Disney Plus account details might be saved on Google Passwords. That's what I meant.

  • Can you do this in an Android simulator on windows?

  • +1

    Worked for me 😍
Thanks OP for the step by step instructions!!

    • What payment method did you use?
