Disney Plus Yearly Membership: TRY₺649.90 (~A$52) + ₺33.29 (A$2.57) Admin Fees @ Disney Plus via Turkey (No VPN Required)

While the previous deal was marked expired due to the increase of Disney Plus memberships, I thought it would be a great idea to re-share this workaround (since it’s still ~60% cheaper than Aus membership ($139.99)1 :) ) and credit to the original OP and Pricebeat for their methods


For Android users:

  1. Create new Google account on phone
  2. Delete cache in Google Play Store (not sure if needed)
  3. Select new account in Google Play Store
  4. Add payment method and select Turkey as Country.
  5. Uninstall Disney+ if you have it installed.
  6. Open Google Chrome/browser on your phone in an incognito window. Set your window to desktop mode.
  7. Search Disney+ on Google Play store in your browser.
  8. Log in on new account and remote install Disney+ to your phone
  9. Open app on phone and pay in TRY

For iOS users:

  1. Create Turkish Apple ID

Go to https://appleid.apple.com/account
Follow the onscreen steps. In the mobile number section use your Australian mobile number (Very important to use a valid number or risk losing your ID). Choose country as Turkey. Then follow through the rest to create your ID. Login into Apple ID on a browser. Go to this link to enter a Turkish address to your Turkish Apple ID and save.

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone/iPad > Your Name > Media and Purchases > Log out from your current ID and login with your Turkish Apple ID

  2. Go to App Store and download Disney Plus app > A pop up may appear to confirm your details > Choose payment method as “None”

  3. Buy TL iTunes gift cards from TurGame (50TL/TRY x 13 gift cards) > Choose currency as TL/TRY and pay with international transaction fee free card.

  4. Redeem iTunes gift cards(apple.co) by going to App Store > Account (located at right top corner) > Redeem gift cards or code.

  5. Open Disney Plus App > Sign Up

    It worked for me (just deleted and readded the app, all via the original Turkish gmail account created). I subscribed originally in June 22 for AUD$29, this time AUD$50. Let's see if I get a full 12 months!

  • Also got cancelled, refunded full amount I paid for 12 months in Nov. Have resubbed for 12 months again at the higher rate. Given it's paid through Google, if they cancel again, they have to refund, it seems, so hopefully no risk.

    Renewed my cancelled Android sub for another 12 months today. Followed this process:
    1. Create a Guest profile on your device
    2. Switch to the guest profile
    3. Open Play Store
    4. Create new Google account
    5. Add a credit card as payment method - select Turkey as the card location
    6. Open an incognito tab in Chrome
    7. Browse to Play Store and find Disney+
    8. Sign into play store using the account created in step 4
    9. Remote install Disney+ on the device you are using.
    10. Open Disney+ and sign in with your "normal" Disney+ account (the one that you intend on using)
    11. You will be prompted for renewal
    12. Pay using the method created in step 5

    • I just tap the resub button on my Android phone and the price is already in TRY. Paid with an AUD Mastercard without any issue.

      • Lucky, nothing works for me.
        The pricks didn't even send a cancellation email or refund, only had about 2-3 months left. Should contact their support and play dumb.

        Edit: the payment worked this time using a different Google play store profile and installing the app from there. I only signed up for a month to test it, but just remembered can use a family members account so stuff them.

  • For some reason it still works on my LG TV but not on my Android phone. Maybe the account is cached and not check everytime I use the app 🤔

    Then opened the app on my Shield, says "Looks like you're not subscribed, did you let it end blah blah.."
    there was a resubscribe button, clicked that, entered linked google account password, presented with annual or monthly TRY options - renewed for monthly sub - got email confirm shortly after:

    Weirdly wouldn't let me do a year, but let me sign up for one month for $5.08 AUD using the same deets and account. See how we go. I was one day shy of a full month's use from this deal, hopefully we get more and I can sign up for a year in a month's time. Ideally they don't swoop in and kill this deal every five minutes considering how many of y'all got 8/9 months out of it.

    (profanity) rough day for cancellations, they crushed the Xbox emulators, they killed Disney Plus, thank Christ I still have a back compat PS3, a modded Wii U, a NVIDIA Shield, and now a Steam Deck. I'll never truly be without PS2 era games.

  • Did anyone's Disney Plus account that got cancelled verify their ID and payment details in their Google account? Think that's why its been cancelled.

    • I have my payment profile set to Google Play Turkey and mine still got cancelled. For those who don't know this, when you set your Google Play profile to certain country, it won't allow you to access apps which are locked to other countries.

      This means, I can't install AU local apps such as Commbank etc because only it's only for Australian Google Play accounts. I used to have 3 payment profiles (Argentina, Australia and Turkey) but I had deleted my Argentina and Australia's profile because I wanted to make sure my Disney+ subscription would only use my Turkey profile.

      • Is your google account ID verified? I received an email last month which I missed and ignored. Here's part of the email below. The form they want filled out requires you to verify your turkey address with ID. I had used a Turkey address in my profile. I never verified the account and never needed to my Aus google (separate account) stuff.

        "You're receiving this email because we haven't been able to verify some of the info on your Google account. If we can't verify it within 10 days, you won't be able to transact with certain products (e.g. Play, Google Ads, AdSense, Workspace, Google Cloud, etc.) using this account.

        Please complete this form using the email address where you received this notice. If you are not able to complete the form, your accounts may be temporarily suspended until this is resolved."

          I assume it's been verified because I don't get those pesky annoying messages from Google to verify your account. I must have verified it when I still had the Australian payment profile attached to my account.

  • I had my subscription cancelled and 649.5 TRY refunded through google. I only noticed because I was trying to find shows to binge this long weekend. Luckily, I was able to resub for the same amount with no issues.

Mine said cancelled(in google) in Feb on the day I subscribed and they said it was refunded, but my credit card was billed and no refunds there. Anyway, I've resubscribed. If I'm charged again on my credit card, google are going to hear from me.

    Just wondering if a different email and payment method is worth using, my original one was used in Aus for a trial before the tky signup but had been fine for 9 months.

    Edit: with the vpn on, the phone app pops up in AUD for resubscribing. Will have to look into other ways.

    Got the cancel email yesterday, full refund already in CC after 10 month's service. Re-subbed at 650. Asked on HUKD about any 650 cancels and none reported, and they started getting cancel emails beginning Jan. What is Google up to?

    • Hmm.. the email advised 'TRY 349.90 Any charges made will be refunded' , but the transaction details on the google account advised TRY 0.0 refunded .. not sure what's the deal here .. btw . I used Citibank debit Mastercard ..

    impossible to get the form to accept any payment method, with various emails and adding to google pay method or not.
    I don't think you can enter a different country from the origin of the card.
    probably need a turkey gift voucher or card I guess.

    • All of the Android steps for me worked both last year and yesterday, using my Aussie debit card. Be sure to follow each and every step? Including creating a dummy google play account?

        I tried in March (when my sub was about to expire), followed step by step, wouldn't let me change Google play region.
        Started afresh, created a third Google account, still no dice.
        (First attempt set my play region to Aus as soon as I set my payment method. Second method tried setting region first, couldn't do it.)

    Turned my VPN on my phone, went into the Disney+ app and it said I was unsubscribed and allowed me both the 65TRY per month or 649TRY per year option. Went with monthly for now to see what the fallout is.

        Bit rude if I don't get an email or refund, I should chat to Disney+ and say isn't working (if there is one and see what they say).

        Only care about the Mandalorian, nothing else of interest on there at the moment so could just watch the rest in one hit sometime later.

          • @superforever: I think what worked was logging into the play store using my other email (which only has turkey as the address/payment method) and then i was able to sign up. Should be able to sign in on any app then as normal.

            I only signed up for a month - will see if they cancel again and may just jump on a family member's anyway. Stuff them, paid for the year but only got about 10 months (still good enough for the price vs oz i guess.

    As I mentioned earlier, my Disney Plus subscription was cancelled yesterday like everyone else here.

    I had no luck resubscribing through a browser with my credit card via a VPN as my card was incompatible with their system…

    So I deleted my app and reinstalled it through the original Google account linked to Turkey, paid via the app and payment was successful.

    The weird thing is, this is the same account and payment method that was cancelled.

    Good news: I received my credit card refund today of $27.58 today, meaning that I got little over 4 months for free!

    Created new Google account with Turkey-only payment profile (I didn't want to do it, but I caved in).
    Resubscribed for a year, using 28 Degrees MC.

      Managed to change out the card on my Turkiye Google account - added in Wise card with Turkish Lira on it…worked a charm.
