Depending on your use case whether you watch lots of SDR content or HDR content. According to the reviews, AI upscaling on Cube isn't as good as Nvidia shield. I have Nvidia shield Pro 2019, google Chromecast 4k with google tv and amazon fire stick 4k max. SDR picture quality is much better with AI upscaling on Nvidia shield, but it do not have the Youtube HDR support. I then liked the colours/image on Chromecast 4k with google tv followed by amazon fire stick 4k max. Reviews says not much of an upgrade from amazon fire stick 4k max to cube other than additional hdmi ports for pass through.
Amazon tends to fill the UI with their advertising, never had a shield so can't comment on whether nvidia does that too.
Yep, ditched the 4k Max because of this.
Remote is annoying too IMO.
NVIDIA Shield Pro is far superior.
Shield has gigabit ethernet port compared to the 10/100 on this
Assuming the TV Cube is like the Fire Sticks, most basic functions are disabled without an active internet connection. Conflicting info online so not sure.
You can install new firmware to solve this and probably not an issue for most but it's not a problem on the SHIELD.
hows this compared to the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 ?
Considering the Pro has an ageing Nvidia chip inside it, this one should be faster, right ?
