  • getting an error on the payment page. Anyone else having similar issues?

  • I was able to pay and join last week. Have had no luck trying to log in though to check subscription. Even trying to reset password comes up with error.

  • After signing up I am not able to login.

  • I have joined up by mobile with no problems. Received confirmation by email.

  • I asked 24/7 Roadservices if there is any differences of the service offering by joining through Green Bean Auto. Below is their reply.

'The policy has the same coverage however you can tow to any mechanic of your choosing with our policies whereas the Green Bean policies you are required to tow to a Green Bean workshop if there is one available in the area of the breakdown.'

    • you are required to tow to a Green Bean workshop

Wow that's a pretty major piece of information. If you have an uncommon car, then how do you next get your car to a place that can actually fix it ? Will they give a second tow ?

      • Green Bean Auto is in Newcastle but I am not there. It means it is not something for me so I have just joined 24/7 Roadservices directly.

The Towing section in page 8 of the Terms and Conditions document said:

'One tow is available for each breakdown incident only. Any subsequent tows for the same breakdown will be payable by the Member at commercial rates. A limit of one vehicle tow is permitted for each individual incident.'

    • I signed up to the Green Bean policy but have none of there workshops in my state. I wonder if that negates that clause? Think will have to ring them to clarify.

      • Yes, the key word in their phrasing is IF THERE IS ONE. Therefore if there is NOT ONE you don't have to worry about being taken to that workshop.

Honestly it's a shitty bit to slide in there - as there's no reason you should be taken to any workshop other than the one you prefer - assuming it meets the basics in the policy.

For 99% of people this won't be an issue.

Yep. Confirmed if no Green Bean around will take it to mechanic of choice

        • I see.
But if Green Bean Auto expands their services to the area where you are in the future, you will then be subjected to this requirement.

@OzTortoise: Cross that bridge when/if get to it.

            • @Whatisthatvelvet: I just called 24/7 Roadservices and as you said, there is no difference to me as there is no Green Bean Auto service in my area.

I asked if I can switch to the Green Bean plan during the cooling off period. They told me to email them to cancel my direct membership with 24/7 Roadservices and subscribe for a new one via the Green Bean Auto website.

I was unable to sign up on line so called to join a few days ago. Since then I have received a receipt only - nothing about my membership, login etc. Have others received more than this within a couple of days?

    • +1

You should have received one welcome e-mail and one transaction receipt email.
You will not be able to log in to your online account during the 2-day cooling off period until the policy becomes effective.

Damn. I was just looking to get this deal, but it seems to be $69/yr now. Is this still a decent price?

    • +1

Oh that sucks. Was considering getting this too but tossing up if need it over the ultra tune service breakdown.

Anyway direct with 247 roadside is $110 on the 2 year plan. Works out to $55/yr if you don't mind signing up to 2 years at a time. Not as good as $44 but not too bad.

Dang this is expired already. Wasn't this long running post?

    • +1

That's what I thought which is why I didn't sign up, now I actually need to sign up and it's expired!

      • Same, might as well just stick with RACQ at this price

Hope this comes back in a few months.

  • Looks like they have poor data security as I was sent rego details of someone else (along with mine). Anyone has Aurion with Rego ending 2KL - please get in touch.
