If you already have a C2 and are looking at additional OLED TVs I think you need to perhaps reassess the priorities of your life 🤔

If you have pink tint on 12.5% of the screen on your C2.
How about DTS sound is that enough? Maybe the cec will work correctly, a better os subjectively.
But honestly now I know the quirks of my C2 am going to stay with mine.Guys been reading a lot about this stuff lately & the more I read the more I get confused! Is the C2 really inferior to the A95?
- Pink tint on around 12.5% of the sceen (left side). Can't unsee it
- The motion isn't the best for slow panning shots
- Not happy with the colour depth and vibrancy
- Gaming is amazing - no complaints there
- Sound without a soundbar is a no go
- The actual apps have a weird issue where you have to open a hdr youtube video before using disney for example. If you don't you get a very 'dirty' film like appearance on the content
- The image processing isn't as good as i'd like
That is just my experience and why I'd want to go for the A95k
Have you setup it up with the rtings recommended settings ?? Pink tint would drive me nuts
Yep… posted on reddit and the response was "It is normal for the evo panels. Just enjoy it".
It is worse yet on certain colours where it is outright darker than the rest
I'm a huge Sony fan and would go with an A95K or A80K every time for watching media/Nintendo Switch, but if i were a modern console gamer i'd want an LG still (though preferably the G2 for the heatsink).
This kind of makes me want to swap it for my unopened G2 - however only having 2x HDMI 2.1 ports (and one being the eArc port) makes it hard as an avid gamer. Lots of HDMI switching in and out when swapping between consoles. Hmmm 🤔
You can always get a hub. I play quite a bit of games and the C2 has amazingly low input lag and response time.
I only really use my xbox series x and soundbar so as long as I do not get another HDMI2.1 device connected I am fine.
The Dolby Vision 60hz for gaming limitation is probably a bigger consideration. Games like Call of Duty for example support 120hz Dolby Vision

I use a HDMI 2.1 splitter with mine.
Denon make a 3 port called the Denon AVS3.
It’ll even do HDMI switching from the input tray on the TV.CEC can be fickle though, so if you turn it off you’re able to use the supplied remote to change input.
This is the real kicker. I have a Sony OLED A8J from a few years ago and they had the 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x HDMI 1.4 arrangement (ARC is on a 2.0 port).
Using an HDMI switch has been annoying as CEC behaves strangely (partially works but things like the Apple TV going to standby will switch the tv back to a different native input or off entirely, even when the switch is set to a non-ATV input eg. PS5). I usually turn CEC off for my devices now because of that. I also get random albeit infrequent reboots of Android TV.
Annoying that Sony seems to always be behind the curve with HDMI connectivity and I know there have been complaints with the mediatek boards they use (not sure if they still do use them).
I’m not in the market for an upgrade until at least next year but hopefully by then there will be a Sony QD-OLED with no compromises in connectivity.
Get a HDMI Switch/Splitter.
You can get ones with a remote for $60 on eBay.
Tried it. Switches don't play too well with PS4 and PS5. It turns off automatically after an hour or so. Someone I know had the same issue. Once direct cabling it stopped
Buy a better switch, use better cables, disable CEC everywhere.

Okay but nobody games for more than an hour at a time anyway. The health warnings always say to take a break after an hour.

If only this had 120hz 4k Dolby Vision. Am I correct that this means that on Xbox Series X where most games run in Dolby Vision mode (unless you disable it) that this becomes again just a 60hz screen?
That's right but to be fair very few games currently do 120hz dolby vision. In general it is EITHER vrr OR 60hz dolby vision if I am not mistaken
That’s a cracking deal. I would have got this if I didn’t pull the trigger on s95b. That said s95b paired with the q990b has been a revelation for the last 2 weeks.
Is this better by $1,500 than the S95B that could have gotten with a 15% discount from Samsung, which they gave to existing customers

I did a fair bit of research and had the A95k and S95B equal first place. In the end I jumped on the black Friday deal / loyalty bonus and got S95B and Q990B deal together for the price of the Sony. Extremely happy with that.

Recently paired it with my C2 (which, strangely, seems to have none of the issues listed above) and it's amazing.If you have yours set up, do you notice anything with the 'q symphony' feature?
It does seem to enhance the centre channel dialog and make it clearer. I need to do more testing with and without.
The software and overall build quality is certainly much better on the Sony.
However, the actual panel is the same on both, so picture quality should be virtually identical.
Sony tends to do upscaling and motion better than anyone, while Samsung are certainly better than Sony when it comes to gaming (Including 4 x HDMI 2.1 ports) so it really comes down to your own personal use case.

@DASHCAM NOW DUDE: It is known that television logos produce a certain scent that most people don't pick up on, but become quite obvious when other senses are inhibited.
only 2x 2.1 HDMI is the big letdown.
What do you plugin on more ports? I can only think of gaming console and gaming pc.
Xbox, PS5, Gaming PC, that's 3 then there's 1 left for eARC, so, 4 is optimal (yes 3 would work, yes you can plug/unplug, yes you can get a splitter, probably, all less ideal than more ports).
I run my Soundbar, PS5 and Series X.
The issue is no sound bar, at least I am aware of, allows passthrough of 2.1.
So given EARC is 1x of the 2.1 ports, I am left with only 1 remaining.

When I checked earlier today they didn't have stock for delivery and stock for pickup seems to be disappearing quickly.

Cash Rewards hasn't worked for me for months. I have no idea what's going on. I've disabled all ad blockers etc… but nothing tracks for me. Nah I don’t have a Soundbar and don’t plan on getting one.
I think if you choose to have the stand face backwards, you can put the Soundbar in front of the TV? Depends how tall the Soundbar is though.
Now I just need someone to justify me getting this when I have a C2 🥲
