    FYI: That's only 4.76% off.

    • +3

Make it $5.25 Bonus and we have a deal

    • Is anyone doing 5% right now?

      • +4

        Yeah, Commbank is.

        • +3

          Where sir?

        • +4

          Yes do tell

          • +15

@mit: Rewards section - get 15 back when u spend 100 or more on gift cards at "Special Gift Cards". Then buy super shopper gift card then use that card to buy Amazon gift card to self, then redeem it on your own account.

            There.

Go make a deal post out of it as I can't be bothered. Did it myself yesterday and can confirm above went smoothly and got the Amazon credit in my account.

            • +1

@gabtug: Damn, that offer is not showing up for me.

            • +1

              @gabtug: Cheers for that tip.
              $85 for $105 Amazon , very nice.

            • @gabtug: So they are effectively doing 15% ?

              • +1

@Tiggrrrrr: Commbank yes but then use that card to buy this deal so effectively 19% if my maths works out

            • +1

              @gabtug: @Jav79

Doesn't show up for me either. Maybe because I don't have a CC with them?

              • @Schrodinger: Maybe thats it, i dont have a credit card with them either.

            • @gabtug: my awards doest show amazon. Sorry for stupid q, where did you find it exactly?

              • @butter: Need mastercard and its in the commbank app under rewards. Might be targeted

                • @wpw: ahh yes i found it. thanks.

need to redeem the "reward" first

                  • @butter: Nice,
Yes redeem reward first following gabtug post above then with that super shopper card i just applied it to this deal like a cc.

            • +2

@gabtug: Thanks @gabtug you legend! Did it in 4 quick steps in case anyone unsure:
              1. Activated cba reward for special gift cards.
              2. Bought $100 super shopper gift card (was nervous because Prezzee wasn’t coming up on their list of 55,000 odd supported retailers). Received the super shopper card within a minute.
              3. Downloaded the special gift cards app which allows you to add the super shopper gift card to your Apple Pay wallet
              4. Went to the Amazon deal on the Prezzee app and paid via Apple Pay selecting the super shopper gift card - success!

NB I plan on using special gift cards in future (for promos like this) so downloaded the app which also added the ability to add the card to apple wallet. However you don’t have to do step 3. At the end of step 2 when you receive the super shopper gift card you can opt to just see the card’s details, and then you can manually enter those card details as a CC on the Prezzee payment page (I think someone else mentioned this too but including here for completeness Edit - thanks @wpw).

              • +1

@ccrap: I tried entering the details as a CC on the Prezzee payment page and it does not work.
Using Apple Pay still works though.

            • @gabtug: Thanks. Don't have that one unfortunately. Probs targeted

        • +6

Is anyone doing 5% right now?

          *

          Yeah, Commbank is.

I completely misread this as a joke about interest rates…

  • +12

wow, $5… comon give us $10… lol

    • 5% is so weak. Will buy elsewhere

  • You get more going through cashrewards 10% deal lol

    • Does cashrewards have 10% off Amazon giftcard? Thought only ADLI did 10% deal before?

      • +5

Truck was referring to when TA posts the $3 bonus cashback on $30 spend on Choice/Amazon gift cards

        • Ah yes, agree that those ones from TA were great deal

    • +4

It depends how much you use Amazon, $30 each time may not be enough.

  • +3

    meh

  • +1

I was really exited there for a moment as I have a $600 order on AMZN and I’ve been putting off hoping someone would come out with gift cards again. That ALDI deal was a killer didn’t even notice it in the catalogue but I bet there would have been thousands off ppl waiting outside the front door. Though when I ask people do they shop online through Amazon they usually say no. Might be just the ozb crew.

    • True, the typical Aldi clientele may not be so tech savvy or willing to jump through hoops for the extra discount.

    • +3

      I have a $600 order on AMZN

The good news is that the brokerage is free

    • only thousands from the 2 most populated states

      • Still better than Tasmania, where you would have needed to travel interstate to even get to an ALDI to even have a shot at getting 10% off Amazon gift cards…

        • +1

but Tas has the better food produce and cleaner air lol

  • +3

    I want more.

    • Another unsatisfied customer

  • Nah, thx.

  • +1

Yeah unless you need some Amazon cash real quick then this is better than nothing. Other wise wait till TA post the buy $30 get $3 cashback

  • +2

pass this time, bought $1k from Aldi last time, 10% off

  • Recession. Cmon give us poor folks $10 for 100

  • +1

    this is waste of time

    • +1

Maybe if you're loaded, but for us normal folk, every dollar saved is a dollar saved

      • +8

every dollar saved is a dollar saved

The true way to save is not to spend in the first place.

        • Yes, but if you're buying stuff on Amazon that you need to buy anyway and it's either the same price or cheaper than other stores, getting to use discounted gift cards is the same as profit.

        • But if all you do is save and not spend, what's the point of life?

      • …is a dollar earned.

    • -2

Stick to your $3 on cash rewards then.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13101526/redir

      • 10% off a $30 gift card vs 4.76% off $105 in gift cards? Uh…..

        • -1

And an expired deal at that.

        • +2

          $3 vs $5? Uh…

Either you're not going to spend more than $30 on Amazon in which case it doesn't matter what % off this deal is because you're not going to use it anyway, or you are going to spend $100 in which case this gives you more value

  • +3

every cents count nowadays, better than nothing

  • +2

Remember when $3-$5 off coupons from Amazon were as easy as clicking a banner ad on Yahoo!?

  • Weak sauce

  • +1

lmao people whinging about discounts, like y'all expect them to outdo themselves each time they provide a deal

    • +1

      I agree.

Like most social media there's a bit of a hive mind going on. When one person complains it snowballs, sometimes it completely dominates the comments.

  • +2

I don't see the relevance of the 10% off deal with Cashrewards

    1. It was for $30 vs $105
    2. It was capped at how many could buy them (first 3000 activations)
    3. The deal is expired

There are very few places you can get a 5% off discounted Amazon Gift Card - generally speaking HCF, Lumo Rewards, NIB Rewards, Australian Unity Wellplan and maybe through some promotions with credit cards/banks. And yes the recently expired Aldi deal.

    • +2

Yep. So many people bring it up for every GC deal but there's a reason it's $3 for a $30 GC, it's to keep within their promo budget and to look good.

Don't get me wrong, they are excellent deals, but unless you're a fairly light online shopper $30 (or $90 if you manage to get all 3 that month) isn't going to cover your monthly spend.

  • +1

Thanks :) thats $5 more for than what you paid for

    • This

  • I don’t understand how this gets so many upvotes, it’s not even a good deal. 4.76%?

    • +1

I paired with commbank deal for ~19% off

      • So the commbank deal can just pay for deals on Prezzee website right? It doesn't have to be paired with this particular deal?

  • Poverty stricken deal

  • +1

Got "Something went wrong and we could not complete your request."
    So well meh

  • +1

Didn't work. Prezzee keeps saying something went wrong with request. Oh well.

  • Said 1 per credit card, but I already bought 2 by using the same Google Pay. 4.76% is better than nothing when in need. Confirmed it was quick and easy. Cheers!

    • Issue with the 3rd purchase. Tried on the phone and sent to another email. Passed. Then again not allow the 4th one. Done of the day

  • if you buy a Playstation VR 2 with this deal with all amazon gift cards you will save about 40 bucks off.

  • +2
