    Can you double dip?

    • Generally no.

The other platforms such as RACV, RAQ etc do not work.

I can't recall if the woolies mobile customer portal stacks, I think maybe it used to but also ceased these days. Not a customer of this, so maybe someone else can confirm?

  • +8

you may join my NRMA here for free, for 5% off BWS/ Dan Murphy/ BIG W/Kmart and 4% off Woolworths 27/7/365.

    • +3

I don't think you can usually double dip?

      • +1

        You can’t.

    • +1

      27/7/365.

Wouldn't it have been easier to just say 365 days a year?

      • +1

That's some crazy maths, I'm thinking they meant to type 24/7 365 days a year.

They could be referring to the decimal value that equals.

Or more likely being Ozbargain, this is a way to get an extra (27/24) 12.5% discount.

    • +1

Is there 1% transaction fee? I use NIB rewards and there's a 1% fee.

      .

      • Nope, NRMA use the same giftcards.woolworths.com.au which has no fees (even for Amex).

  • They cancelled my order already and i got an email from Paypal saying my refund is on the way! Slightly frustrating.

    • Sounds like the issue from the earlier deal hasn’t been solved yet

    • Same. Tried again and success. Haven't received card yet.

      • Mine's still saying In Progress after 40mins. Will do my order in the morning.

  • +7

Ever so slightly worse than 5% off from select purchasing avenues at 4.762% off. (since it is $200/$210)

  • +1

    Went smoothly. Thanks, op

  • Bought 2. Sent to my email. Filled in my Everyday Rewards number. Not seeing the bonus points yet. Maybe won't get the points.

    • +1

"You will not collect Everyday Rewards points on any money you spend on …. gift cards"

      • +1

        Everyday Rewards - Get 1800 / 2100 Points When You Purchase $250 / $300 Gift Cards
        Both offers available until 24/12.
Worth entering Rewards Card for those hoping to double dip. Only 1 use per Rewards account.

        • +1

No you can't double dip. You have to click the button in your email which brings you to a specific page, which doesn't include extra 5% value.

          • +1

@TanedaR: Didn't expect it would. Both Deal Links go to different offer pages.
This 5% added value (4.76% off) is the better offer on your choice of value.

            • +1

@INFIDEL: Keep in mind that the gift cards in the bonus points deal you linked to are different types of gift cards to the ones included in this deal. Woolworths Group’s promotional gift cards use different gift card prefixes (and have different internal stock codes) when compared with Woolworths Group’s regular gift cards.

Something would have to go monumentally wrong at Woolworths Group if you managed to stack the two deals together!

  • +1

For those who have bought it in the past, does it show up as Woolworths on the card statement or something else? Wondering if this stacks with 3X supermarket category on Amex.

    • +1

      Yes you get 3x

    • What amex gives 3 * points? I have a gold one and a platinum one and never noticed this.

      • +1

        Platinum Edge.

  • +3

Thanks for sharing. I used to be able to buy these ones with the coles mastercard, but during the past 2 weeks it has been impossible.

    • +3

You can add the card to Paypal. I used it to buy one Uber Eats gift card yesterday.

    • +1

Yeah just add the cards to paypal. Tiny bit of a hassle, but once you get the hang of it, its pretty quick and easy.

  • Can I use these gift cards to purchase other TCN gift cards which are already 10% off?

    • +2

That ship sailed about 2 years ago, so no

Can't pay for gift cards, with gift cards

    • +1

Amazon is the last place left which stacks like this

Discount Amazon gift cards for swap giftcards

  • I used the same credit card that worked last month, but got this:

Something went wrong. Your payment has been unsuccessful at this time.
Your card hasn’t been charged. Please try again using your Credit or Debit Card.

    • Yeah I got the same message, tried my Amex and then again via PayPal but no good. Might try the visa in a bit see if that works.

    • Same issue here. They even charged the CC, but then automatically issue refund. Of course now I'll have to wait for a week at least to see the refund money …

    • Tried the Amex again and it worked, different gift card amounts was the only thing I changed. Payment system must be shithouse their end.

      • Which card amount worked for you?

        .

        • $500 x 2

          $250 x 4 didn’t work for me.

    • If I automatically fill up the CC fields, it doesn't work with all my cards. If I manually typed the numbers, it worked straight away.

    • I get the same error on laptop, but it works fine on phone.

      • I got the error on phone. Switched to computer and it worked

Looks like woolies themselves are now discounting some of their cards via the rewards app, gift store

Discounts aren't as good as other platforms yet though

Let’s home they don’t do a Dick Smith, and go into administration at the start of the new year…

      • I would have thought woolies profits were at an all time high? What with the pandemic, panic buying / stock piling customers, no longer offering Rainchecks and generally NOT passing on savings but happy to put prices up at the drop of a hat?

Oh and keep flogging their own brands and tell people how they are keeping their own brands prices locked?

        Do me a favour!

But yes, the Dick Smith (business) demise wasn't good :(

      • Woolies is simply locking in Christmas grocery, alcohol & gift shopping - by selling gift cards with added value that can only be used in their stores. A good marketing move at a major sales time.

go into administration at the start of the new year…

Don't think your crystal ball is working🔮

No insolvency talk about Woolies, unlike DS before it went under. More the opposite!
"Woolworths has produced a $1.5billion dollar profit for the 2022 financial year. Full year sales jumped by almost 10 per cent."

Many comments they have otherwise reduced the discount on their gift cards. That would be the opposite of a fire sale when a business (like DS) was in trouble!

Dick Smith… That was a VERY DIFFERENT situation. Can't see any indication of that happening @Woolies!

Woolies previously owned DS. But it wasn't a good fit or investment for them. So they offloaded DS for less than the cost of its stock on hand. A bargain!

As with the failed Masters investment, Woolies made a huge loss. But it continued in business!

A Venture Capital business bought DS at a very low price & gutted it. Suppliers weren't being paid - long before it's collapse, so the shelves started becoming bare. A sure sign of a financial crisis!

They sold gift cards when DS was nearly under. Then gift cards became worthless. Very dodgie!

Not likely to happen @Woolies early next year as you scaremonger!

Paid with CC for plenty of equipment in its last days - at as low as 2.5% of original price.

Dick Smith business name was one of the assets left - acquired by Kogan.

      • +1

Rather than rumour-mongering about Woolies gift cards, there is a more potential threat on my radar.

If you want a scenario similar to Dick Smith - possibly affecting gift cards…

Look to the speculated $120M sale of most of David Jones in next week to the same Venture Capital company (Anchorage Capital) that stripped assets from Dick Smith…

Like these Woolies gift cards, there have been recent Deals on discounted David Jones gift cards.

Not saying there will be a problem, but new owner could decide not to honour gift card value at some stage. Gift cards are an unsecured loan (to the current operator Woolworths South Africa).

Just in case, am spending my remaining DJ's gift cards ASAP.
Probably will mean no more loyalty $10 gift cards for birthdays.

Mt Gravatt (Brisbane) DJ's store is closing - so will look for bargains. A lot of stock has already been sold or moved to other stores. Have been buying up stock @50% off - with loyalty & discounted gift cards.

A Closing / Boxing Day sale is planned.

Other store down the road was halved in size & substantially upgraded a while back.

Staff I know at both stores have been helpful in finding bargains & informative, but many have already been relocated to other DJ stores or face an uncertain future.

        • +1

Sad to hear. You have posted stories of some great bargains at these stores.

  • So there isnt a generic Wish card?

    • Thers is but not for the extra discount.

  • Not working for me
