Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen $62.10 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

680
92WICKEDWED10

Very nice price ;)

Decent deal for those that missed the $59 special. Better than the last deal that was Costco specific.

Edit: not sure if this the right etiquette but further discount with code thanks to bargainsgrabber. 92WICKEDWED10 brings it down to $62.1.

Heaps better than the Costco deal. And guess what? JB dont require you to have membership for the privilege of stepping into their stores and paying a lower price.

  • thanks OP, just picked one up

I was excited to get one, now it just sits in the kitchen and I use it as timer!

    • Was thinking of getting one for recipes, too small though?

      • Possibly. How would you get recipes on it?

        • I kinda assumed you could just use a browser on it … Is that a thing?

  • Who's got one of these on their work desk?

What are the top 3 ways you use it? And for what?

Have thought about getting one since first gen for google voice commands, mainly for smart lights - but I've found it just as quick to hit the physical buttons, or just from using shortcut widgets on my phone.

Perhaps I'm also a bit paranoid about it constantly listening and this data being accessed or stored somewhere…

I mainly use it as a photo frame. You can also stream netflix or other services on it if you run out of TVs in the house.

I have google door bells. So when someone presses it, it lights up and shows me who is there. I can also show you who is there even without someone ringing on the bell. It can be used to respond to the door bell also.

It is handy to get quick facts for the kids, settle an argument with the wife, play music, kids watch youtube on it. Also used as an intercom.

One of my boys has one in his room and uses it as an advanced clock radio. i.e. Set alarms verbally etc.

      That's my top three.

    • You can easily flick a physical switch behind the screen to turn the mic off. I do that at work and using it for streaming news or Kayo.

    • Set Reminders

      Meeting appointments

      Calendar events

Large clock to watch day pass by SLOWLY!

  • Does anyone know if you can view NVR security feed on this? ie REOLINK cameras

    • Yes you can, I have set this up at the in-laws place with the Reolink Argus 2 cameras they have 5, but it does depend on the internet speed you have as to how good it would be, they are on the lowest speed with TPG it is very choppy but once going it's fine. We have arlos which display without issues.

Perfect opportunity to do a Bunnings 10% price beat as they currently have it for $68.00, so the 10% price beat should bring it down to $55.89

    • Unfortnately it's out of stock almost in all Bunnings VIC stores

      • @ozmau5 You sure? I think you're getting very different results hahaha
I had a look at a few different stores via the Bunnings website and haven't had issues finding stock

Obviously that's as of the time of this comment - Wouldn't surprise me if all available stock gets Ozbargain'd by the end of the weekend

    • Can you price beat with code?

      • @Nikopol I don't see why you couldn't as it's a competitor's lower price and it's available for C&C which according to JB-Hifi's C&C Disclaimer "Orders are usually ready for collection within an hour of purchase or as soon as the store opens the next day if you purchase outside store hours" so that technically qualifies as per Bunnings "on the same in-stock item that's available for same-day delivery or collection" 10% price beat T&C's

  • +1

yes there were heaps of stock in Hoxton park and they price beat..paid $55.90.

    • +3

Bunnings Hoxton Park need a slap on the wrist, they didn't give you a 10% price beat they gave you a 9.97% price beat - You should have insisted they adhere to their advertised 10% price beat

Relinquish your Ozbargain membership right now!!

Bunnings Bundaberg says they don't price match online offers and refused to price match. I couldn't be bothered to argue with them.
