See also Boost Mobile: 12-Month 140GB Plan $170 + $40 Cashback via Cashrewards.

So Boost would be extra 20GB for $11 more (after cashback), but on full Telstra network and with 5G until 30 January.

    • +1

But back to 4G after January 30?

      • Maybe, but who knows? Best to refer to comments on that deal.

      • +3

Even with 4G I'm still getting 200mbps download which is more than enough.

        • +1

Yep, all 4G networks with decent signal should give you between 100 to 300Mbps, which I'd say is plenty of speed for the majority of users, given the data limits.

        • what about Optus they provide 50 mbps?

  • +2

    is it 60GB + 60GB Bonus ?
pack just says 120GB, it doesn't revert to 60GB at first renewal.

There is no bonus. Just standard 120gb

  • +3

It is already $119 on Coles Mobile

Pretty sure will be same price in store too.

The 60GB starter kit with a 60GB bonus (so 120GB) was $99 3 weeks ago. I'd wait until boxing day and you might get a better deal?

    • I bought an extra one of those, does anyone know if they actually have any expiry or if i should just resell it. I know the bonus 60gb is 30 days, but the normal sim shouldn't have an expiry right?

      • According to the CIS for prepaid on their site the SIM must be activated within 30 days.
Not just for the bonus data.
It's under the CIS (Customer Information Summary) PDF for Coles Prepaid Mobile.
They may unofficially give you longer but I wouldn't rely on that.

  • What happens if you activate after 30 days of purchase? It says you need to activate within that time to get activated inclusions?

    • +1

That's if there are extra promotional data inclusions, this doesn't have extra data. The headline is wrong, it's the 120GB SIM starter kit.

  • I had Boost for 2 years, switched to Coles this year. My international calling has become very unreliable and difficult on the Optus network. It's a good signal here, but the service is really no comparison. Just a word of warning if this is important to you.

    • I had the same issue until I switched the phone.

      • +1

Interesting, Coles has just activated LTE in the past couple of weeks, maybe their network change will improve the cellular reliability

        • It could be. Also my old phone was not supporting all the network bands. and my new one supports all bands including 5G ones.

    • +1

      Coles just introduced VoLTE.

  • can you use coles GC to buy this? any restrictions?

  • They mention this is

"New services only…. Ongoing recharges revert to standard price of $150 with 120GB or as otherwise advertised."

Anyone know if this is strictly enforced? What happens if we buy $119 voucher and try to apply as ongoing recharge?

    • You would have to contact them & plead you ignorance. If not just port out & back with a free Boost 28 day sim.

  • I experienced slow internet with Boost mobile. Would it be worse with Coles internet?

Boost mobile says "Full Telstra Network" but I always see only 1-2 antennas 95% of time and 3 at only right outside of shopping centre.

I think they lowered down signal / speed. they are not the same.

    • +1

Boost is really weak where I live too. Optus is full strength, so it depends on your location.

      • I changed to Colesmobile and this is same at home but better in supermarket lol.

Boost mobile is a joke. it's not the same as Telstra. Telstra shows full signal while boostmobile only shows 1/3 in iPhone
