People who willingly buy these at full price:

Damn son, how much you on a year? /and or how have you somehow made this a cheeky tax write off?

    • +5
      • +1

wow its been 10 years already…. thanks for the nostalgia

    • +13

I'd say the same thing to people who'd pay $59 for a t-shirt

    • I used to get them at boxing day sales at DJ's or Myers.

      grab 3 in diff colours

    • +1

The fit of these is poor IMHO

      • +2

Yeah it's a horrible fit short and baggy

        • +2

Rodd and Gunn sports fit good

    • +3

willingly buy these at full price:

      Only $12 here…

      plus 18% cashrewards….

  • Thanks got 2. Not sure on size but gave it a go

  • +26

These have the strangest fit. Way too short and they fit like a sack after a few washes. RL custom fit is much better quality and fit.

    • I agree and the material is really soft and clingy. Good if you want to show off curves, bad if you don't.

      • +1

i find the uniqlo polos are quite good are softening the dad tummy lines

        • I love these too!! any other similar shirt fits?

    • +131

Sounds like you may be Lacoste intolerant

      • thanks for the chuckle! most underrated comment

        • +3

At least he didn’t milk it.

    • The sizing is a bit off too between seasons.

    • +2

Agreed. Just grabbed myself a couple of these.

      https://www.ralphlauren.com.au/custom-slim-fit-pique-polo-sh…

    • Yeah your right I just got it today it doesn't fit right at all. Short and baggy at the same time

  • +2

Is that a crocodile or alligator

    • +26

      Yes

      • +6

        Thanks

    • +1

Alligator. A crocodile has a less pointy snout

    • +1

      Interior crocodile alligator.

    • +3

      I think it's cotton

  • +3

They have these crocodile shirts at Costco (at least in the Adelaide one) at the same price, few different options. My missus said the crocodile is a good brand, but I wasn't too keen for them at $60.

    • +2

A friend who has lots of experience with high brand fashion said the ones you get at outlets (Costco, etc) are inferior cuts, rejects. Googled it up and sure enough, this is true. Not only does it happen to CPU, GPU chips but seems to be common in fashion too. Not sure about Amazon, but I'd assume they have original/non rejects??

      • +3

        so binned shirts…..

        • +1

          In more than one way

        • +3

I always make sure the shirts I buy can handle overclocking after a big meal.

  • +2

I had few before but the clothes are easy to be damaged by several washes for whatever reason.

    • Wash cold and don't use dryer.

    • +2

How the hell are you washing them if they're getting damaged in several washes?

      • It's not completely unwearable. It just lost its shape.

  • +5

Unless it's made of unicorn hair, a shirt at $59 has no place on OZB.

    • +1

      its branded, sheep loves them

    • -2

      Unicorn pubic hair*

      • tickles your chin

    • +1

Cheap shirts mostly fit poorly and look rubbish.

      • I disagree. The only difference between cheap shirts and expensive shirts os that cheap shirts are usually less breathable.
Now pants is a different story.

        • That and also the cut / fit. That's a huge difference. The difference between looking good and looking like a peasant.

          • @imurgod: If you don't like looking like a peasant, you're in the wrong place entirely.

            • @DontNeedThis: Why? I'm very wealthy but I prefer to not overpay for certain things.

Do you think rich people like paying RRP?

              • @imurgod: No, but rich people are busy enjoying life, not stalking ozb for a deal on a t shirt.

By the way, care to adopt a 33 year old?

                • @DontNeedThis: Well I'm at the beach as I type this and my staff make me money, how's that?

I'd consider adopting you if you were female, hot and into dad bods lol

    • +4

Ships from and sold by Amazon AU

      don’t think so

      • +1

They've been a lot of knock off's even with this badge - particularly with Champion hoodies.

Not sure how it works in AU, but in the US a friend of mine was a retailer at Amazon and he got this badge by providing Amazon with stock to hold at each of their warehouses (this was 10yrs ago, might be different now).

So it doesn't necessarily mean Amazon procured it (and thus it's legit). All it means is that Amazon has it in stock at their warehouse.

        • +1

All it means is that Amazon has it in stock at their warehouse

In those cases it will usually list a different seller and say fulfilled by Amazon.

You are right though, things can go wrong and third party stock (potentially counterfeit) can get mixed in

      • Can't comment on this deal, but I've definitely seen fufu items on Amazon.

    • Bought one from black friday sale. Pretty good. No difference.

    • Can return for free if that's the case. But seeing as this is from Amazon directly its unlikely to be a knock-off.

    • -2

      how does that work?
      Amazon selling COUNTERFEIT!?

      • Looks as if some of the orders which were fulfilled by a 3rd party, not Amazon, are suspected knock off's.

      • Knock offs = made on the other end of the factory

  • -8

Would look good on a boomer

    • +2

      Juvenile

    • Lolwat

    • +1

I totally agree. Looks great on boomers. Glad the brand hasn’t been cheapened by you dirt poor eshays. Us boomers need to distinguish ourselves from the Nautica dic… what gen are we up to now?

  • +1

Cashrewards offering up to 7% for apparel.

  • What's the difference between this polo shirt and any other polo?

Generally with high priced, branded items, the material (cotton) = higher quality, last longer, doesnt' shrink as much, etc etc.

    • +3

This one has a logo of an alligator on it

      • -1

        This is not original

  • +5

I don't get it, $59 for a shirt? Macklemore was right.

    • -3

      Macklemore's a hack.

    • -1

Paying for the brand. Just like you pay more for a iPhone or a Rolex or a Porsche when you can get a xiaomi phone or a Casio or a Toyota.

      • +4

        Ridiculous comparisons.

It's like comparing 2 min noodles to fresh produce.

        • Yeh. Terrible comparisons but I get what they saying

        • Wow. Tough crowd

          • +1

@illusion99: I'm not that tough. Just trying to defend my luxury purchases lol

Let's look at Macklemore's polos and see how much they are, shall we?

      Oh my…

  • +5

I bought this same item in September (I checked my history and it links back to this same ad) and the material feels different to other Lacoste I’ve bought , feels lighter and cheaper and more see through than those I bought in the past. Maybe it’s all in my head but I won’t get another one

    • Because this is a knock off

  • +5

Just discovered uniqlo polo shirts for $29. Hands down best bang for buck polo. Excellent quality. Plus no logos!

    • +5

logo costs you the extra $30

    • +4

They're actually $20 on sale right now, I just grabbed a few in store, and it's the same online.

      • Noice!

      • +2

Are they thick enough to hide pointy mens boob?

      • yeah if you want to look like the guy in their picture.

  • All seem to be currently unavailable.

  • +2

Haiyaaa, no orange colour, no deal

  • A few more colours here for the same price https://www.amazon.com.au/Lacoste-Mens-Slim-Polo-Ibiza/dp/B0…

Also some crew necks at half price too: https://www.amazon.com.au/Lacoste-Basic-Silver-Chine-Medium/…

  • -1

    Eshay wear :)

    • -1

      No.

    • +4

      Eahays wear Champion.

  • Get a size up. Small sizing

  • Thanks!

  • Make it two and sure.

  • Just purchased one and saw the comments here.. might refund it later haha

  • +2

Thanks. These polos should last for decades if you get the classic and not the basic slim ones. Also if you are having trouble finding your size just type or colour Lacoste polo into the search bar and a few more options will pop up. Can’t stress enough about buying the classic L12.12 polos though. Also Lacoste Live are usually pretty good quality.

    • I got one delivered from Amazon yesterday and can confirm it was a L1212.
