Tablet Desk Arm/Stand $31.90 Delivered

250

Use your tablet hands-free at your messy desk, or in bed while you watch .. uh .. videos.

This would be a great complement for that second ThinkPad tablet that you received but didn't want to sell to a fellow OZBer.

You can put together one fancy digital photo frame.
Or have a live stream of all your IP cameras.
Or mount it in your bathroom for a hands-free toilet tablet.
Or get an app that makes your tablet screen white, and turn this into a very expensive desk lamp.

Next cheapest I can find is US$58 on ebay. I don't know what I'd do with it seeing as I don't have a 10.1" tablet, but I bought one anyway. Guess I'll just have to buy a 10.1" tablet now.

Hmm not a bad price. Just have to wonder how well that clamp will hold onto my bed's wooden frame and if it'd damage it..

    • I was going to comment on how it was cool, but couldn't think of a use… Using it to hold the tablet while in bed is a great idea.

Put some cardboard or a thin piece of rubber (eg an old cut up mousepad) on each side of the clamp.

i bought one of these in china (albeit for $5aud) and i use it everyday
      it is freaken awesome
i find it hard to get out of bed now lol
but i agree with morini, definitely pad the surface to prevent scratches, i recommend a foam/neoprene fabric for grip and cushioning

    • just place some smaller pieces of wood between the bed frame and the clamp

First Zazz thingy that is actually useful (and apparently good value) for several months…. I'll bite…. mainly cos I have an EYEfinity setup in front of me, and this should make it easier to move my iPad into/out of my field of view, and rotate portrait/landscape more easily :)

    • Haha yes, I've been watching their stuff for ages but there's rarely ever anything useful. This is the first time in a long time they've sold something useful.

Rofl @ description …. Use your tablet hands-free at your messy desk, or in bed while you watch .. uh .. videos. :-)

    Thats worth a +

    • Yeah, I was a swinging voter till I read that first line…

    • for the amusing description.
pity the clap looks average cause the rest of the unit looks quite good.

I was under the impression that the clap was always very average.

    • Not sure is the clap was ever above average

    • I actually forgot to check dx!
At least you won't have to wait 4 weeks and end up with a holder that was bent in the mail. After ordering some flash umbrellas from DX, I'm a bit wary over ordering long thin metal objects that can bend, from DX.

    • Thanks jm01, just bought one from dx

  • Hrm I wonder if this thing would support my 12" Cintiq…

    Nah, it's too large. :/

    • i use mine for my 12" ep121
ur just stuck in landscape mode
and drawing is a pain cause it bounces back with every tap
but i only use it to watch and browse

      • How do you browse without tapping?

        • bluetooth mouse maybe?

  • Looks ok to me, just bought 2 of them. Got a messy desk at work AND home…

  • Is a website that calls their FAQ section the "WTF?" section, going to be a problem?

Zazz has been around for ages, and (in my experience) has had good customer service. I wouldn't worry.

Zazz have been around for a long time now. They're trusted and reliable. I've impulsively bought a tonne of useless crap (and occasional useful gems) from them over the years - including this tablet stand.

      • Almost everything I've bought from Zazz was really cheap cr*p that didn't last long. I wouldn't buy from them.

    • I've ordered from zazz before, service wasn't a problem (it arrived quickly). The item itself was pretty crap, but that's expected when you pay $0 + shipping.

    • Zazz used to be reliable, cheap and sold reasonable quality stuff. These days, they're reliable.

  • sold out

  • Bugga just missed it sold out.

    • Length matters!

      • Stiffness too. That one is entirely plastic, so you might have problems keeping it up, especially when you're messing around with it with your hand.

        • Wobbly as hell.
its already dropped my ipad twice cause it is universal.
Ipad is too thin for it.
          angles are extremely limited.

          sigh… $16.80 wasted. haha

  • sold out…..

  • I received mine today. The desk clamp is die-cast metal, not crappy plastic. Awesome!

The tablet holder part takes some work to attach securely though. There are also two screws behind the tablet clamp with no matching holes which seem quite random.
