  • How much of a saving is that ?

    • +1

At a quick glance woolies / Amazon are the next cheapest at $219.95

      • Thanks

        • No worries. Bunnings also has for $219.95. Or there is a random website which has $212 delivered. Either way I’m guessing it’s a niche market for someone to pay that much for some ice

      • A quick search on Amazon is showing $261 for this model.

        • +1

$261 is for the commercial version. This one isn’t the commercial. The commercial one on OP’s site is $263

          • @Slo20: Thanks, but I can't tell what the differences are. The capacity, throughput etc is the same.

            • +1

@elektron: Capacity is the same but throughput isn’t. Standard makes 15kg ice in 24 hours, commercial makes 18kg.

              • @Slo20: Thanks for the clarification. Not worth the extra $60+ imho, but also means that this deal isn't as much if a bargain as I thought, especially since Dick Smith / Kogan has the black version for $159 delivered (via KoganFirst trial). I wouldn't buy the black version for my kitchen though.

  • Got car adaptor? use in car

  • A gadget for everything

What’s the point of this appliance in the home setting?

Most people have ice trays in their freezer.

And if you need a large amount of ice for a party or bbq you can buy a bag for a few dollars at the petrol station or supermarket.

    • distilling moonshine.

    • Agreed. Only use case I can really think of is in a commercial setting or (maybe) more than a few nights camping

    • had to get one for the mrs for christmas. she absolutely refuses to use icecube trays and i have no idea why

      • Yeah, doesn't even make clear ice.

    • +1

I wouldn't recommend ingesting bagged ice
      .

    • hate to fill the tray up, unless there is a better way to fill it.

  • Thanks OP, got one.

  • I bought it 5 days ago, but it hasn't yet been shipped. @Vik Luthra - can you please provide an update?

  • It will be shipped on or before 3rd of Jan. Thanks for your patience.

    • It has not been shipped. I requested a refund a week ago, but haven't received it either. Your chat supplied also not responding.

  • Anyone buy this and want to share your thoughts?
Any good? Would you buy it again?
