Cheaper via Titan Gear at $1237.99 with code PLUSFLASH4 and extra 5% off seller discount

    • As stated in description you could still get it cheaper stacking zip pay with jbhifi $1191.91 as i did or price matching at officeworks would be $1219.80 , better ordering from physical stores.

all good man sharing is caring :)

      • how do you do the zip pay thing with jb to get it to that price
and is it still working with that method?

        • I can 100% confirm it works. Make sure you have zip pay app then you need to generate a single use zip pay card, write down those details, then click on the price match link the jbhifi live chat guys give you. Once you get to payment area just type the single use card details in and pay. I got cashback almost instantly after paying.

  • anyone spot a deal for M1 or M2 iPad pro 12.9?

    • You can try both and see if OW or JB+Zip are cheaper.

I'm looking for 11"128G+Cellular, but unfortunately OW already matched Amazon so, see you 5% discount :-<

    • Not gonna lie. I got one of these and used it like 3 times. In hindsight I’d go 11” for general media consumption.

I did apple edu store (anyone can buy) plus Cole’s apple gift cards

      • Do you know the difference between 12.9 and 11 as i for i know its just min led thing right? Is there any other difference?

      • -1

Yes definitely no need for a 12.9 for general media consumption. In fact why buy an iPad Pro at all for that? You can get an iPad Air or even the low end iPad for consumption, although the price differences between iPad and iPad Air is too small considering the power and feature differences and I would get the Air. Or an android tablet although you tend not to have the range of tablet optimised apps (again not an issue for consumption).

IMHO iPad Pros are for highly mobile work situations. It is certainly what I use it for, and I have just bought this M2 in 256GB spec to replace my 2017 version.
The content consumption for me is secondary.

        • I find it to big too hold up like a phone, I’m sure the 11 would be good

        • I don't know about the air, but the speakers on the pro are excellent.

          • @Manny Calavera: Yes the IPP has four speakers and both the IPad Air and iPad two.
The iPad Air has the M1 and can also use the Pencil 2 while the iPad uses an A15 as its SOC and can only use the first gen pencil. If you use the Pencil, you want gen 2.

For iPad Airs and Pros the diff between the M1 and M2 isn’t really worth worrying about, the iPadOS constrains the performance differences IMHO. I guess you could say an M2 might give you more longevity.
You mainly get the Pro for the 120hz ProMotion display, up to 2TB storage (Air has 256GB max), Pencil hover and the four speakers. The IPP also has faceID while the Air has TouchID.

That screen is the main difference IMHO and why I got the Pro.

    • Maybe look at Centre.com or JB then talk to OW about price matching.

$1899 and get OW price beat to $1804.05.

  • Got Ipad 10 Gen 3 256 GB Wi-Fi Blue from OW for $854 after 5% price beat with the schoollocker website.

  • May I ask what people use the powerful, smallish M2 11" ipad pro for?

I see in the comments above that for "general media consumption", which to me right away feel like an overkill at ~$1300 (you must really need those aforementioned 4 speakers!).

So apart from being a superfast, superexpensive YT/Netflix/web browser, what is it great for? Is anyone shooting and editing videos on? Making music? Measuring spaces or objects with LIDAR daily? Sideloading some cool stuff?

How many apps can it keep open in background, ie. if I'm in Safari and start opening other apps, how many more can be started (so it takes over the screen) before Safari needs to re-open (as opposed to just being brought back to the foreground) if I switch back to it? If I remember correctly, iPhones had enough memory to switch between 3-4 apps and after a couple of years and iOS updates the memory would be enough for 1-2 active apps. I assume in iPadOS one app can stay on one half of the screen and others can cycle on the other side. Laptops don't have that issue - everything stays in memory and the more you open, the slower it gets.

    • iOS doesn’t close apps like android or windows does. It gets the apps state and stores it in memory first, and then disk. That way the app will load where it was nearly instantly. The benefit of this is battery life, massive gains in battery life. My old surface pro would last me 3-5 hours of internet/streaming while iPad Pro lasts me nearly 14 hours.

All in all, it’s a super reliable, super fast, incredible battery life, ultra portable compared to most laptops, and all in all it does most things far quicker and simpler. Haven’t picked up my laptop in years since I switched to iPad. I even rdp into my PC to game or do more advanced things.

    • I'm planning to use it for architecture related stuff. Morphotrace is iOS only sadly

And also general idk heard from all the archi folks iPad pro is great for sketching and notation

Also heard you can render and shit in this? 3d modelling too???

It's great for scanning measuring too apparently

  • Tried to price match at jb livechat. Spent 45 minutes getting it all sorted and at the end there was no option to pay with zip. He said it wasn’t possible. Abandoned shop.

    • As in the livechat person could only take the credit card deets?

    • Aww man it 100% works i did it. You needed to generate a single use zip pay card and pay with that its basically like a regular debit/credit card. But yeah typically the live chat guys give you a price match link and you do it all yourself.
