Apple iPhone 16 Pro: 128GB $1524.99 ($205 off), 256GB $1729.99 ($200 off) Delivered @ Costco (Membership Required)

700

Please be gentle, first time poster!

Since I missed out on JB deal, I have been looking for something for 16 pro and found this to be the lowest today.

128GB model has a discount of $205, from original price of $1,729.99
256GB model has a discount of $200, from original price of $1,929.99

Looks like Officeworks not doing price beat to Costco under recent change on their policy which excludes price based membership offers.

As per Costco website: While stocks last, models may vary.
They offer Trade-in too if anyone is interested: Moorup accepts a wide range of devices from you, including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and laptops, in exchange for a Costco Australia Shop Card.

Wouldn't it be better to trade in through a service such as Mobile Monster compared to Moorup? i did a quote for my 13 pro 512gb and got $680 v $495 (moorup)

Most likely yes! Mobile Monster tend to offer the best rates, but if your phone has any issues (a replaced screen, for instance, or battery healthy under 80%), then they'll knock down the price substantially. I think some other services like Moorup are a bit more forgiving.

There's been so many sales, cash back, discounted gift cards offers on Apple products lately. They must be struggling with sales figures.

    • Yes, and iPhone 17 is not too far away…

      • They always annouce or release in September aye

    • Or perhaps it's a strategic plan by Apple to dominate the smartphone market?

    • I think you will see a massive dump in Apple products to give themselves a bank of $$ then you wont see any discounts until Trump is out. They will pause any discounts until the tariff issue is either settled or goes away when Trump gets the boot.

  • Iphone 16 is gradually losing value when apple realises people dont want to pay $2000 for a phone when you can buy 1 Macbook or 2 Windows Laptops or 4 Android phones for that price.

Yes. Samsung S25 Ultra was only 1k on preorder. You can almost get 2 Samsung flagship phones with one iPhone 16 Pro Max's price.

      • iPhones have the highest value retention of any smartphone brand by far still.
      • Plenty of people are willing to pay $2000 for a iPhone Pro Max. The same goes for Galaxy Ultras and Pixel Pro XLs.
      • You have the thinking reversed, it's more "damn, I could buy 3 iPhones for the cost of this 1 MacBook Pro".

Before you call me an Apple fanboy:

      • My phone is a Google Pixel Pro.
      • My tablet is an iPad Pro.
      • My laptop is a Microsoft Surface.
      • My refrigerator is a Samsung.

My tablet is an iPad Pro.

        Fanboi alert!

Better to buy at JB with discounted GCs?

Why don't you go on Jb's website, calculate the cost and let us know?

    • how much for a promax 256gb on this JB deal?

The design of the iPhone 17 Pro has been leaked. It's quite a bit different (as far as iPhone differences go).

Anyway food for thought. Some people might prefer to wait a few months for the latest design.

I can only see that back top camera section? Else looks the same?

      • its an iphone afterall, can’t look too different each year.

    • Looks like a Pixel and IPhone had a baby

I'd prefer paying less for a smaller screen.

  • I got a price match from OW but not Costco.
