Fantastic food-grade grease in a handy tube. I use it for o-rings and tap washers

I was on the lookout for it a while back, and could only find it for $15 each delivered, or 3x 30g for $30

250g tub ~$22, only one in stock

INOX MX6 is safe on rubber, and is ideally suitable for all plumbing O-rings and seals, food machinery O-rings and seals, pneumatic control valve O-rings and seals, Diving gear O-rings and seals, anywhere rubber or synthetic O-rings and seals are used.

It is a bentone grease, so not to be mixed with any other types of grease. if it is replacing any other type of grease in a specific application - the other grease needs to be removed completely (degreasing).

O-rings in plumbing - I have lubricated the o-rings and sometimes just ran them dry. Never noticed any difference.

Bentone grease with PTFE would make sense for oven tray rollers if you have them, but it specifically says not to use it inside of the oven, although it is food grade and the top temperature of 300C should allow it's use there…

So, to summarise, unsure of the best usage scenarios apart from plumbing o-rings where there are lots of other options (Doust, Kinetic, Hydroseal, general use silicone grease like paste 500).

Their main product, MX3 is nice though.

PS almost forgot, currently cheaper at Trade Tools https://www.tradetools.com/inox-mx6-food-grade-synthetic-gre…

    • It's the go-to product for servicing coffee machines.

Was usually around $10 delivered off eBay but it looks like it's gone up in price like everything else.

When BCF give away the free money I usually pickup some of this stuff with it. Useful for the aquarium pumps.

    • Same, back when Jaycar used to sell for $10 would price match then use the $10 freebie credit ;) think I got enough to last me a while now..

  • It's my favourite lubricant for my automatic coffee machine.

  • Good price.. for some reason is defaulting to a more expensive 3rd party seller so be sure to check Other Sellers if you get the same

    • Ah it's out of stock now, but "order now and we'll deliver when available"
