what is this, went to website and still don't understand, is it worth it and what type of deals do I get, i.e 50% of groceries, 80% cashback on flight, hotels and etc. I don't really get it

  • So is this a program where you sign up to a membership fee to receive discounts to elidigble stores?

  • for the 24 month menber do I get the new voucher to use after the first 12 month or I just get the same amount of voucher as the 12 month one?

    • Per description: "Offers refresh annually"

      • of your membership?

Pretty useless IMO in its current edition.
Used to be good few years ago.
For one, their iOS app is pretty lame.
Location search doesnt work properly. And when you want to redeem a coupon, I've had two businesses refuse flat out.
    So, beware

    • That’s no good, Works perfectly for me and other people I know,

  • Do you know if 24mth can be added to current membership? I'm currently a member to 5/23

    • You can activate the new membership when the old one expired.

    • I just bought this and in the email it says this for existing accounts:

Already have an existing Entertainment Membership? You have 90 days to activate your membership

Are you sure you want to activate now? If you have a current Membership, you can wait until it expires, you have 90 days to activate your new Membership. By activating your new Membership now, it will begin straight away and run alongside your current Membership.

Thanks for that, looks like I might have to give it a kiss, maybe look for same next year.

  • These are worse every year but at $44/yr for the two year membership, you will make your money back.

There’s gift card deals, dining deals, entertainment deals, lots of fast food options.. you can view the site for the offers to get a feel of what is in your area.

e.g. Sushi Hub has 25% off at $50 max, you could eat sushi train and make your annual membership price back with a maxed out discount:

  • anyone know if you will get the bonus egift card when signing up to the discounted price? thanks

    • Looks like its one or the other.

  • Light of other years I'm afraid .. was good back in the day ..🥱 …!

  • Put me in the can get good value but not as good as it used to be category.

This is the best deal available currently but worth noting if you are interested in multi city the “free upgrade” is better ($70 12 months)

I purchased $150 supercheap gift cards from them (Budget- but same same) last Saturday and they took my money but no giftcards and its seems they are on Holidays for the week so no contact.

  • I preferred the book version where you could swap coupons with others

  • Any idea of what's actually on offer?

    • +1

You can download the app and browse as a guest without getting the book. You just won't be able to redeem. I have the multicity pass. I just used mine at Melb for Legoland, Enchanted adventures (Mornington) and Kryal Castle (Ballarat). That saved me around $80-90 in the 2-for-1 entry offer. So my annual fee covered. On the road to attractions, you could use the vouchers to get 25 off lunch (another $25 each) that could save you $50 over 2 meals. The restaurants should be a surprise as I wouldn't have tried them. Helps restaurant get a bit more exposure. Helps me sort out lunch I should otherwise walk into a random restaurant. Win-win.

  • Can someone tell me the difference between the Multi City and Single city? I live in Geelong, will that be included in a single city membership (Melbourne) TIA

    • +1

They have various City books (Sydney, Melbourne, etc) which you buy and the vouchers will only be valid for restaurants listed in that particular city (unless stated otherwise on the actual voucher).
Multi city passes will allow you to buy multiple city books.

      • Is there a Geelong book? I cant see any info. Because Geelong might be included in Melbourne. Otherwise, I will have to buy Multi. Thanks for your reply

        • +1

Geelong offers are separate from Melbourne.

  • They might well go bust in the next year and I doubt you would get a refund. They seem desperate. Still tempted though, hence the upvote.

Black Friday they had buy 1 year get another free.

  • HSBC give a free watered down version with their credit cards. Unlimited 2:1 KFC and 2:1 golf rounds ($23 a round) has been well used. Discounted egift cards also useful.

    • Assuming you're referring to their instant savings? I still cannot get my membership to work despite following their (terrible) instructions. Tried ringing customer service on Friday without luck I've given up.

      • Yep. Instant Savings Frequent Values from the Entertainment Group.

And ah Yes…I remember it being an absolute enigma to get started. I also almost gave up.

        The issues I discovered.

        1. The generic instant savings webpage wont let you log in. You must use the link that come with your email. The pages looks the same, but they arent. The new version uses the app. The generic app may work if you use your membership number provided by HSBC at the start.

        2. Off memory it asks for an email or similar as a username, when in fact your user name is the membership number that come in the first email from HSBC. Mine starts with AD……..

Definitely worth getting setup. Then wherever you use it, just say I have an entertainment book offer for..blah blah, and they enter the code the app generates and away you go.

  • offer expired. So it is 24 hours earlier

  • Bugger, You're right, saw yesterday, planned to buy today, and it's gone… 😑

    • Same.

    • Me too. Oh well, I guess they missed a few sales
