Lol.. people neg for the weirdest reason. Levelled out for you.

woah, 3 likes in one minute.

Maybe because the avatar makes squall3031 look like a male model, and once you click on the picture you realise it's just an animated dude.

        • never cared to look closely at avatars here!

But i just did…. and you are right…

        • +1

I think that says more about you than anything.

  • -2

These things are cheaper at Cash Converters or on Ebay.

    • +5

^only for those who don't care about 12 months warranty.

    • +2

No they are not, and there is no warranty from there either.

      • Apparently all pre-owned consoles only have a 3 month warranty from EB now, not 12 month.

I bought a preowned xbox360 once, took it home and opened it up to flash the firmware and found it had already been modded with the old soldered on board that was required for the old hitachi drive or whatever,,, then removed badly by their repair centre and put up for sale.

got e74 within an hour. took it back, they didnt care, just put it back on the shelf.

I'd avoid buying preowned anything at this place

    • +5

lol, they just restock it without blinking. probably think some dumbo will come along and forget to test it or be too lazy to return it. excellent retail practice.

  • i bought a preowned one for $55 at Aceben, upgraded it and its working great, they have quite a few at this price.

  • +4

I bought a new one for $99 from Dick recently, so not sure why you'd gamble with getting a used one.

    • +1

afaik the new ones do not have backwards compatibility with the gamecube, so maybe that's a reason why.

  • Mmmm, yeahhh… It's pretty cheap but I'd rather pay an extra $30 for a new one. Not that I would buy a Wii. It's still a good deal.

  • +1

It sounds like a good price but when you find out the good Wii games are still $50+ you're better off getting this https://www.ebgames.com.au/wii-153992-Nintendo-Wii-White--Ma…

    • +1

Or hacking it…assuming Wii's can still be hacked? I haven't touched mine for years.

    • +2

Or the same package from KMart for $125…

    • +1

Pre-own Wii consoles might not come with Wii Remote Plus, so it is a minus to me

  • This seems ok but u can do better- b4 I had seen wii+ wii fit for $119 and like wii + mario for similar. new is better, less problems.

  • They are cheap in order to clear stock before the Wii U comes in, which will give the Wii sales a door stop. But is cheap its guess.

  • I'm trying to find some Wii games that would appeal to me, but I can't. :/ Guess I'll just blow $68 on the Steam sale instead.

    • XENOBLADE CHRONICLES

I bought my copy from ebay uk for like $40-$50. I would buy a wii just to play that game and then use it as a footrest. Other games that I liked were Zelda: Twilight Princess, Zelda: Skyward Sword, The Last Story, NSMB, Super Mario Galaxy 1&2, Monster Hunter Tri

      • Completely forgot about that game(and Monster Hunter Tri). This is pretty tempting now. :/

Im not a fan of second hand consoles, especially the controllers. Too much finger jam on them ehhhh

    • +1

      Finger jam? After third base?

      • +3

        Anything :s

Finger jam : Twisties/Cheetos fingers, Not washing hands after toilet, Dirt, Picking nose, scratching nuts. The list goes on..

        • lol, you worried too much! just clean it before using?

for your concern, same goes to laptop, keyboard, mouse, dvd drives(eject), remotes, case(power button), Hi-Fi(all buttons), car(wheel, seat, aircon), phone(touch screen/button), bag, even clothes and pants you bought from China has passed by many workers hands……

not to mention that day I was at an Indian restaurant, saw a chef went toilet without washing his hands & went straight back to kitchen……

        • +1

I eat Twisties/Cheetos fingers on my laptop, keyboard, mouse.
I put dirt in my dvd drives(eject).
I Not washing hands after toilet and use my remotes.
I Picking nose on my case(power button), Hi-Fi(all buttons), car(wheel, seat, aircon)
I like scratching nuts on my phone(touch screen/button), bag, even clothes and pants.

        • Exactly why Im not a fan of some second hand goods. Worst part for controllers is the seam between where the two parts of the controller join, watch the end this video to see what i mean

          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76g7NojXLjc

If your fine cleaning out some one else's gunk your welcome to it, Enjoy!

  • +1

Isn't everything at EBGames preowned (by staff)? ;)

    • +4

And customers (7 day return policy).

  • Is there really 12 months warranty?
I rang store and they said 3months

    • +1

I canceled my order just now. it is 3 months warranty which make 68 not a good price.

      • -2

I doubt it would break. Pretty basic technology (being that it's basically a GameCube). Worst case the drive laser dies and you run all games of USB HDD (via home brew)

  • +3

I dont know if a Wii is even worth $68

  • Wii is only good with a WODE :D

  • If the electrical goods are still in production, I don't know if a second hand item can be considered a 'bargain'?

    • So a Farari 1 month old being sold for $1000 wouldn't be a bargain? Everything can be a bargain to somebody.

      • +2

no that would be just plain stupid, who's ever heard of a Farari and why would you pay $1000 for one

  • I made an account just to warn people that it is now a 3 Month Warranty. As a staffer I was pretty puzzled to why they changed it, but 'that's just how it is' (3 Month Warranty is pretty shady for Xbox consoles ;/)
