God, I remember paying this much for a 120GB OCZ Vertex 2 whenever they came out.

    • I got the ocz vertex 2 3.5" version for about the same price lol…. times change big time!!

yep, now bring on the 16TB drives so i can fit my steam library (even if ill never play 99% of it) :P

        • I was in the same boat not long ago. Tons and tons of games, yet only played 4 on a regular basis. Wiped em all from drives and shoved the main games on a m.2 ssd drive. Now my hdd's only have music on them.
I've been waiting on 8tb firecuda 3.5" drives to come on special but no luck so far

Why do we need to add bookmark?
It's got nothing to do with it

    • +7

For the extra 5% off. SSD on it's own is $455.99 bookmark is $7.04. Adding them both to cart qualifies the 'buy 2, save 5%' offer, bringing total to $439.88

Dont listen to Wet Fantasy. Its all lies. Whatever you do dont add the bookmark… its a trap!

I remember when 1TB NVMe SSD was going for twice this much. People mocked me when i said that in a few years time it will be at a fraction of the price. And here we are in a few years time.

Technology gets cheaper over time? Groundbreaking.

      • Nooooooo fake news!!

…was going for twice this much
….it will be at a fraction of the price

Yes, half is indeed one of the fractions. Of course, in modern vocabulary 'a fraction of the price' implies significantly less than half, therefore you have given the crowd valid reason to mock you.

      • More fake news!! Lmao jokes

      • +1

But this is 4 times larger than the 1tb he was talking about - 1TB drives are going for significantly less than half of $800.

  • Shows as $554 for me

    • The page defaults to the UK listing — You need to select US via the "New (7) from $455.99" section below the buybox area.

  • careful they dont do the old switch-a-roo trick and "too bad" like https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/748592
