Everytime I see a mini RTX 3060 I think of that Techfast post where someone was mad over getting a Mini.

    • +2

      Size does matter to some.

    • Great for ITX build.

  • Didnt the 3060v2 perform worse, despite the extra ram? Or am I remembering my reviews wrong?

    • I thought v2 is the decent version is it? V1 being the non-limited hash rate and v3 is the 8gb crappy one.

  • +7

is it crazy to think that the successor, the 4060 will probably be $1200 AUD RRP…

    • +4

Jensen will happily take your suggestion.

      • +3

And your money. Mostly your money…

        • He needs the money to fuel his addiction to spatulas.

    • its still $99 over from jimmy budget.

  • I’m not getting $469, code invalid (targeted?)

  • Wait, you need a small graphics card for an itx build? Seeing a full length gou in a formd t1 left me thinking you can just build big.

    • +2

The extremely small itx builds use graphic cards like this

      • -1

Not really, my 9.7L case could fit 305mm long cards

        • I’m talking extreme itx. Something like this SGPC K39

          • @FireRunner: yeah, but even the 7.2L dan a4-sfx can fit up to 295, what makes this asus suck for sff is its 2.55 slots

            • @Pugkin: True, that limits options significantly.
MSI aero has a 2 slot single fan 3060 and 3060 Ti which is compatible with more builds

    • Probably using a small case like a Densium Pro or a Velka or something similar.

not too much respect left for computer alliance for jacking up the price before participating in this sale

You think you got a deal, but you end up paying more money comparing to the buyers a week ago. Well played, Comp Alliance, well played…

    • Are you sure this code is seller funded?
Might just be normal price adjustments which happens all the time from what I've seen.
If they changed a lot of items then it's obvious price jacking

      • I think you are right - not all items have priced changed.

by the way - i have found newly stocked 4070 Ti cards on Ebay, such as this one. Do you reckon it is a decent price or?

        • Yikes, Nvidia must be insane

    • +1

As i mentioned in my post, I really have seen these prices trend up.
When people are saying they got it in december for lower, the prices are going up. Its just crazy.
      Really sucks to have waited.
I have full confidence knowing that Jensen has screwed all retailers and customers over to not sell below a certain price to make the new gen cards look more appealing.

  • +3

these cards really should be around $300 but because they made so many they inflated the 4000 series so they dont have to sell them inline with previous trends

it will never happen again. after covid everything gone up.

$8 trillion were printed globally during covid, many goods and services prices gone up to match these printed money.

Huge number of people globally are richer than before covid. and these people are the one who can afford the new prices including 40xx series.

Tho, many peeps including in ozb are none the richer and have to bite the dust and adjust with the new reality (fork out your wallet deeper to get into the new stuff).

      • Got source on this? I'd love to read about it. I do agree there is a "new normal" when it comes to commodity pricing. Certainly sucks that my wage didn't go up to account for this. The inflation figure of 5-8% I don't agree with either. My weekly shop and other essentials have certainly gone up many many times that.

        • -4

          source = uncle Google.

  • +1

Tempting. I'm still running a GTX 980 4GB in my main desktop. I don't really want to dump $1k on a better GPU just for light gaming and Photoshop / Lightroom work.

    • +1

…then buy the $450 RX6700. Some guy on the other "deal" said he bought a 4090 for Dota 2 lol

  • get a used one , the only good deal your gonna get on an rtx card is gonna be used. i got a 3060 ti for 450 aud used on ebay and it works perfect.
