      Hello snoopydoop, you are right, price returns to the standard price after the 12 months at 1.45$, there is no lock in at all.

      This option is available on our Dedicated Server but not for VPS.
      For VPS, we have a list of distributions/OS you can choose from in the order funnel. (or via your control panel later on too). Hope this helps

          Hello Grish, our fraud system is quite sensitive and is here to protect our existing customers.
          I believe it is less likely with 3DS credit card however make sure to complete correctly your account details during the registration.

    going to order to give it a try.
    Can anyone advise further re Snapshots and backups?
    Do the snaps and backups only cover the primary disk and not additional storage if you purchase it?
    If not, is there a solution offered within the CP/product or do I need to organize external backup for the extra storage purchased?
    Nightly snapshots and backups? (bugger all info during sign up)

    what I have discovered so far
    snaps and backups are super basic
    one snap allowed at a time, must be manually done. old snap has to be removed before the new one can be done, snap is only of the primary drive, not the extra purchased storage
    backups - backups are only of the primary drive, not any extra purchased space, simple once a day schedule only, not sure how many you can hold before they rotate out, guess I'll know more in the following days
    backup recovery - two options - mount a backup and access files by NFS or SMB, recover the entire backup and replace the existing running image

    for me, its better to get a little more space on the primary drive to allow for backup staging, mount a second home with the extra purchased space and run clients off there and then use Cpanel backup to Backblaze to backup user accounts
    that way if it hits the fan I can bring a machine back from OVH snap or backup and repopulate the accounts off Backblaze backup
    this is a sensible option for me as far as $ and workability

    It's a shame about the OVH IP reputation, I've had to rent a VPS from another hosting company to relay my mail as the range I was given by OVH is useless.

    I usually use SendGrid to transfer outbound (forced to as using Google Cloud) so looks like I’ll continue to need to do so.

    Signed up 3 days ago. Payment taken via Paypal. No further communication.

    Account now seems to be inactive as cannot login at all to see status or to contact support. No email on website or chat without logging in

    Try the forgot password button multiple times on different days and it sais its sent an email but nothing received(Yes checked Spam)
    Also tried recreating the account with same email to make sure it is correct and system sais unable to use email address so it is definitely in the system.

    What a joke.

        Facing similar issues. The support failed to check my id document after I uploaded it and terminated the account. I paid via paypal too. I think OVH should stop taking payments via paypal and causing distress to potential customers.

    I signed up around 3/4 days ago as well and all went smooth. Payment method was CC. Account created immediately and my ordered product was provisioned in about 20 minutes (was told to expect inside 24 hours so was happy about that) 🤷🏼‍♂️
