JW also have this model in stock for the same price: https://www.jw.com.au/msi-rtx-4070-ti-ventus-3x-12g-oc-graph…

    • Yep, not exactly hard to find.

    • Let hope no one else keeps posting the same model of GPU from different stores then!

1 post is enough for now.

  • +31

no deal, Nvidia and AMD are still riding the stupid mining prices,

70 series card for $1.5k is a rort.

two years ago a MSI Ventus 2070 super was $539 delivered:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/571683

    • +8

if you really need a new card right now then get a RX6600/XT for $300-400,

    • +3

2070 was a last gen card at that point, they were clearing out stock since the 3070 was out by then, better comparism would be the 3070 which was ~$900 ish around that time

      • +4

I paid $785 for a 1070ti in dec of 2017, double the price in 5 years is stupid imo.

'The wait is over' -> Who the heck was eagerly awaiting another rogering by nVidia?

    • Homer (Mujibar) is, he said its faster than 3090 Tear eye.

  • +18

    PCCG same price - https://www.pccasegear.com/products/60611/msi-geforce-rtx-40…

clearly this is just standard price for this card at launch and not a bargain

(not that 4000 series will likely ever be bargains….)

  • +17

AD104 is only 42% of AD102, how dare Nvidia name it 4080-12GB before? And 192bit memory interface is just a joke. The worst 70Ti/80 series cards ever. Fxxx Nvidia.

  • +3

    How is this real?

  • +5

This is just RRP isn't it? Wouldn't call it a bargain, more of a "this is in stock!" notification…

    • -5

Don't shoot the messenger, this is the first 4070 Ti post in history. I'm not Leather jacket man.

      • This is just msrp though. Being a new exciting model doesn't make it a bargain

  • +3

HODL until these cards are $500

  • +1

Close to 3090 Ti level performance, but more efficient.

    • Beat it by 5% from most reviews, and only 285 wattage compared to 3090 Ti 450 watt-ish…

      • +3

I was kind of surprised by the performance, and I would happily have this card in my rig…. but certainly not at this stupid price.

        • But it's faster than 3090 people happy to pay $2500 for. Many of them were begging for it to drop from the $3500-$4000 crypto price to the $2500 they considered reasonable.

That was only 6 months ago. The only difference is this sand is called 70ti sand not 90 sand

          • @Jimmy77: I understand your point, but these cards are still in stock for 1479 @ PCCG, so clearly these are not rushing out the door, and another fail by nvidia.

            • @Jack D Price: Why don't they consider it reasonable now though? It's like half the price of their hodl price of $2500. People waited from Nov 20 to June 22 for prices to return to $2500. It's barely been 6 months since then and we get a whopping $1000 price drop with this new 70ti model.

They're probably angry they can't mine anymore (and now have to pay the crypto pricetag like everyone else)

              • @Jimmy77: because its not your MSRP $370, otherwise people will be lining up the street for it.

                • @[Deactivated]: I find it strange people think $2500 was reasonable for an 18 month old model (3090) when prices corrected last June. But here's something with similar/better performance for $1020 less, only 6 months later.

If you were a hodler this 4070ti is essentially a 3090 for half price.

                  • @Jimmy77: but but but even at half price $1479 is still not enuffff….

they want $370, shall we call uncle Leather man? ask for a discount?

        • +1

It is actually slightly slower than 3090Ti

          https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070…

      • Tom's hardware review says it is slightly slower than 3090Ti?
        https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070…

With ten of the fastest GPUs currently available, the RTX 4070 Ti lands basically right in the middle of our rasterization benchmark results. Despite Nvidia's claims of 1.8x the performance of the RTX 3090 Ti, without DLSS 3 as part of the equation, overall we're looking at less performance than the 3090 Ti and only slightly higher performance than the 3080 Ti — which by extension also includes the RTX 3080 12GB.

  • +7

    Not a deal..
Does this come with lube for the Nvidia rogering or do you have to bring your own?

  • +3

crazy stuff, there is really no MSRP these days… not even close!

  • +5

Lol China already selling 4070ti below msrp meanwhile we posing a normal retail price calling it a deal

  • +3

Xbox Series X and PS5 have much better value imho. (You can get both consoles for the similar price)

  • +3

Huang on guys, we'll get there.

  • +1

Lmao not even free delivery for a compact $1500 item

  • Does it come with a free game?

  • +1

Correct me if I'm wrong: I heard Ventus series don't have a solid design?

    • Suprim > Gaming Z > Gaming X > Ventus.

      • So better buy Asus with the same/similar price? Like the Tuf one?

        • Tuf 4080 has whiny fan noise issue, I read somewhere in the 4080 thread, check it out. Not sure if it affects 4070 Ti.

          • @[Deactivated]: I guess I can wait longer.. the current price is not pleasing either

  • +2

    cope product

  • +3

    those prices 😭😭

  • +2

This is shit. And is not even a deal, it's just (outrageous) retail availability.

  • +4

Bit cheaper on ebay $1425 with targeted SN code then use discount ebay cards save another 5-10%. Still couldn't convince myself to upgrade to xx70series over $1k

    • -1

Ok I caved lol. $1265 with gift cards for equivalent of a 3090ti isn't too bad and should hold it's resale value. I would go amd but apparently shit for vr.

      • mate could you elaborate please on how you used the GC to get down to $1265 price point? With the "SNS…." code, it'd get the INNO3D version down to $1,405, but that "SNS…." voucher code doesn't seem to work together with GC codes? Or does it actually? I can only find the GC at 3% discount, assuming you use 2x $500 GC, it'd only get you down a further $30 bucks. How do you do it from $1405 to $1265? Thanks for the help in advance

        • Yep sorry bit wrong to give that price as it's not currently possible. Cards will stack with the SN promo code, but Ebay gift cards were 10% off about a week ago at giftz which is now confirmed expired. I stocked up preemptively to buy a gpu. Might have to hope for gift cards to go on sale again soon. And yes I got inno3d for $1405. Max gift card is 1500 in one transaction too fyi.

  • +1

No deal. Terrible price to perf ratio for a 70 class card. I will just wait till next gen thanks and buy used. F u Nvidia

    1. it's normal street prices
    2. the street price is far from good in the first place

sorry to see you get so many negs, but 4070ti with this price really deserve it.

  • Is getting a used 6800 xt for 750ish my best option? Currently have no gpu at all

    • Mujibar got 3080 Ti for $700ish from a miner. you may get lucky too, check gumtree.

    • Only good options I've seen if you need something now are new 6700 for $450 (currently $509) or used mining 3070 for $450. both using codes on ebay plus. 750 is a lot for any used card without warranty. High end GPUs 6800xt + are are all at greedy prices.

  • +2

Not posting separately because this seems to just be the normal price for these cards, but if anyones searching for the cheapest 4070ti currently :

Evatech has the Colorful card @ $1399 atm - https://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/122864
AusPCMarket has the MSI Ventus card for $1409 - https://www.auspcmarket.com.au/video-cards/nvidia-cards/40-s…

    • +1

Colorful "Battle-Axe" version is what they call the "Beggar of the Beggars" version in the Chinese video card scene. The crappiest version using the reference card I think? (correct me if i'm wrong….)

  • +2

It's understandable that most can't afford where NVIDIA has moved the needle to.

This is, however, effectively a 3080 replacement, the previous flagship. And DF commends it for that: https://www.eurogamer.net/digitalfoundry-2023-nvidia-geforce…

"Comparisons against AMD's RX 7900 XT are interesting - you're paying AMD more for less ray tracing performance, no DLSS 3 and worse power efficiency."

So no, you can't mine back some of the value of your overpriced card. But in the CURRENT market this makes more sense than the 7900xt, which is 15-20% more expensive.

    • -1

There are so many problems with your perspective. You are paying more than 3080 prices for a '4070 ti' that is apparently 3x faster than a 3090 TI, Nvidia is broken.

  • +2

    Needs to be 300-400 cheaper.

  • +1

4070ti this price go eff yourself
