  • Thank you op, got one.. hopefully it is a good one, never use them before..

  • Tempted by one of these. Is it twice as good as the Panasonic posted earlier?

Half an hour to almost an hour to cook white rice seems pretty long? Is that normal for these?

basically seen as same level as zojirush and tiger

This is the cheapest line of their products without a high presure fuction.
Frankly, I recommand at least upper $350 products with high presure fuction or Best is uppper $500 :(

@chickenfac: Jfc just use the absorption method. A cooking utensil to cook rice should not cost as much as my first car.

1 cup rice, 1.5 cup water, pinch of salt. Do not rinse the rice.
Heat the pot until it starts boiling, turn down to lowest setting (mild simmer) and put the lid on.
12 minutes, turn off heat and leave with the lid on for 10 minutes. Stir, enjoy

            • @pi827827: How do you avoid it burning on the bottom of the pot?

              • +1

@Wolfenstein98k: By using the lowest heat on the smallest burner and a non-stick pan.

Small burner, big pot. The heat is dispersed over a larger area, never had any burnt rice issues doing it this way unless using a smaller pot 👍

@pi827827: Salt and don't wash the rice? Yikes.

Very popular brand, do some research and you’d see.

Ah didnt know, is it better than CN108?

          • -1

@kehuehue: You really need to do some research. You sounded like someone in the jungle who hasn't heard of Apple iPhone and think it was a knockoff from MARS-048

Your suggested method does cook the rice but may not be a convenient solution for families who cook and take rice as main food intake, 365 days a year. Also the quality of a bowl of cooked rice matters… at least for me ;)

            • @b0b0: Yeah I know im ignorant about rice cooker brands, specifically those from east asia.

What are you referring to here? My comment about the CN108?

Cuckoo is probably one of the most well known electric rice cooker brands in Korea. This is just one of the cheapest ones they have.

      • No idea lol
        It's a good brand.
        Don't like the colour

    • Yes. It has a water drainage area.

You can take out the top for easier cleaning as well.

Just depends how lazy you are.

  • Thanks got one! I’ve been looking out for one and while I’d love to spend $500 on a Tiger, this one is much better priced for me.

  • Thanks, Op. got one. Just wished it had a steamer basket to cook dumplings

  • Thanks,op

  • Thanks OP

Crazy good price. Got one for $164 a few months ago and couldn't be happier with it.

    • What is the minimum amount of rice you can cook in it?

  • Damn, just sold out. Good buy

  • DISCOUNT IS OVER. CODE REVOKED BY EBAY.

  • lol why did ebay revoke the code "JANHNG" despite claiming it was until the 16th or whatever, i guess more people using it than expected?

  • Missed out! Is there a glitch?

  • Paid on the 7/1. Item has still not shipped, maybe the vendor is oos..

    • Yes - no shipping info yet - either oos or in dispute with Ebay for incorrect code.
