      Didn't surprise me😃

      Price & quality don't necessarily equate.
      Surprised by quality of FREE Darlec Bypass Pruner secateurs from Spotlight. Members special, bought 2 years ago, 2 for $20 - free with $20 voucher. Still sharp & work well. Highly rated in other Reviews.

          @Jackson: Yes, the normal price for 2 is $40 & these 2 is $9.
          Still cost nothing for 2 pair of great secateurs. Am happy with my $0 purchase every time I use them.

          On the other hand, crap secateurs cost a lot of pain (old ones regularly pinched my hand) & frustration, taking so much longer to do a worse job. Wise to factor that into the "cost".

    Those "springs" rarely last, esp on cheaper secateurs ime. Cheap for a replacement blade if you have similar types. $5 for the bigger loppers is dirt cheap in any case.

  Made the mistake of buying cheap crappy garden tools when I first moved into my own home.
  It doesn’t pay to skimp. My higher quality stuff since has all proven to be better value over the time and then it’s easier to use.

    Yeah I gave up on cheaper stuff now I don't live near a Bunnings & have a decent garden jungle. Fiskars seems to be good quality across the board and Catch has them reasonable priced.

  Its alright for gardening and pruning small branches, does the job nice tools.
