Alldocube iPlay 50 (10.4" 2K, Android 12, 6GB/64GB, UNISOC T618, 4G) US$100 (~A$148.79) Shipped @ Alldocube Direct AliExpress

400
ALLDOCUBE1WinterC20

Back on sale is this new tablet from Alldocube previously shared and easily one of the best value Android tablets I've seen in a while. Especially considering other UNISOC T618 CPU tablets were selling for US$170+ last year. This is a good option for general use, media playback, gaming, emulation, something for the kids or even a Home Assistant dashboard.

Alternatively for US$121.89 (~A$181.36) you can get the tablet with 128GB storage instead of 64GB storage on the same listing.

Featuring Android 12 with Google Play, 10.4" 2000x1200 IPS display, 6GB RAM, 64GB or 128GB storage (microSD support up to 2TB), UNISOC T618 Octa-core CPU, 6000mAh battery with USB-C, 4G LTE with B28 & Dual SIM, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, metal body and dual speakers.

A downside of this tablet is that it doesn't have Widevine L1 so there will be no Netflix or Prime HD. Alldocube are known to release firmware updates to fix bugs with the most recent release in December.

  • after the coupons I got 64gb for $166.28 . Did i miss anything or is it to do with my aliexpress membership level?

    Thanks OP for posting this

Looks like your AliExpress currency is AUD, that's why.

If you have a card without currency conversion fees, add that to PayPal. Then on AliExpress set currency to USD, then at PayPal checkout choose the card, click "See currency options" and bill the card in USD to get the current exchange rate. If PayPal do the conversion or AliExpress is set to AUD, then the rate will be most often inflated.

      • Oh thanks! It seems that I have been doing it wrong.

      • Nice tip.
But how do I know if my card has currency conversion fees or not?

And if it does have currency conversion fees and I have set AliExpress to USD, then will the conversion fees show up at Checkout, or on PayPal, or will it happen in my bank account without me knowing until I get my next statement, (i.e. I think I'm paying $149 AUD, but the bank (or PayPal) are goint to charging me an extra $20 that I don't yet know about)?

This lists cards without fees. A card that charges for an international transaction is normally a percentage of the transaction. CBA for example on some cards will be 3% of the total.

PayPal's own exchange rate is often inflated, as in they include a fee for doing the conversion.

      • Thank you. I didn't know this. I'm with ING and get the international fees rebated straight away. I'll do this next time

They use low quality battery, keep that in mind.

    • Also the usbc connection will fail after a year make sure to use magentic cables!

      • Alldocube normally have the best quality out of the usual budget brands.

        • Bought two of the 40s after a year both don't charge properly if at all. Not sure is battery or USB port.

@HitlersDad: The iplay20 I bought 2 years ago is still up and running until now and it was numerously dropped by a raging toddler.

            • @Vaynard05: My iplay20's battery died after 12 months. Very disappointed. It's wise to spend a little bit more, go for Lenovo or something.

      • wait.. fail after a year? Care to elaborate?

        • +1

One of them won't charge at all. Stays at 1%. The other is intermittent with charging and then working fine or doing the same thing.
I had an iplay30 which was faultless.

From when I googled it seemed somewhat common, pointed toward the USB port being faulty perhaps.

What is the magnetic cable? The one that stays in and you just connect the lead?

        • +3

you can buy a cable with a magnetic attachement on the end, and it comes with a USB C plug with a magnetic attachment on the back. You keep the plug in the device at all times and just connect with the magnetic connector when required, the idea being you aren't putting undue pressue on the port with the repeated connection for charging

  • I brought my son a "tablet", now 1 month later, CODM runs we'll, yeah it's not top spec and doesn't run on high but who cares very playable on medium!

  • F… I just paid about $168 a week or two ago

I bought during Black Friday and very happy with it. I popped in a 128gb and majority of apps can be transferred to it. Very light and good quality feel and screen. At this price it’s a steal (I paid $93 Us)

  • is this a good replacement for an ageing mi pad 4?

    • +1

I would say so, I own an IPad 9 and Alldocube iplay50 and the speed is very similar for general tasks like surfing, reading, streaming. Very fast tablet.

  • I'm guessing this doesn't have 18w charging?

    • 10W I believe.

  • This seems quite good for the price :)

As an aside, anyone know of a cheapish tablet that has a real-ish home button these days? Got an older relative that is quite used to it on their o.g. Galaxy Tab A. Best thing I have found so far is in fact the iPad 9th gen.

Hi OP, I'm getting an error for both codes:

ALLDOCUBE1 - We don't recognize this promo code. Have another try.

WinterC20 - The order amount(excluding shipping fee) is under the minimum spend of this promo code. Please apply another code.

I'm trying to order the 6GB/128GB model. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

For me only WinterC10 works and brings down to $101.10 us. The other one doesn’t work for me.

      • +2

        Neither work for me

    • +1

      Same for me

  • +1

    Neither of the codes work

  • Does this come with a case?

    • No case, just preinstalled screen protector.

      • Any idea which case fits?

        • I tried to post a link, just search iplay 50 case.

          • @fozzie: Sorry forgot to say on Aliexpress.

I bought an Alldocube iplay 40 or something like that about a year ago. Tablet is decent, but be wary that the vendor NEVER releases updates, despite showing a firmware OTA interface. Unless I’m mistaken!
