    I've been to Phuket a few times for holidays and am familiar with most of the areas near Patong. This hotel is NOT by the water. However, they do offer "Sea View" rooms that face the water and offer a nice view of the beach. If you're after a hotel that is by the water, I would recommend the Graceland hotel. The Sea Sun Sand Resort is also a good distance away from the night life that Bangla Rd offers (approximately half an hour walk) and add another 5-10 minutes of walking if you want to go to Jungceylon Mall. If you're after a hotel with a private beach, then I would recommend the Impiana hotel. The Impiana is also closer to Bangla Rd and the shopping center/district.

      I found a blog from someone that had this done… she went out for a walk a couple of days after and regretted it. The heat and humidity hurt, according to her…
      so i guess that's the reason that there's the 42" tv, minibar, aircon and wifi: you'll want to say in your room.
      No need to be near the beach if all they hope you do is stay indoors and recover.

    Is there actually a requirement to have any sort of surgery done to take up the offer? I don't see anything that would imply or require it. Understandably though members are being cautious and perhaps they'll offer their sales spiel when you try to book etc?
