Thanks. Sadly I could only get 1 at this price :(

    • You can place multiple orders.

        I upvoted you don't worry.

  • Nice one :)
I got this for $2.48 last time

    • I believe that was USB A :)

  • Its showing $16.79 for me even with 50%.

    • It is 50% off the original price, subtracted from $16.79

    • +1

      Discount applies at checkout

      • Ah, thank you.

      • still, show me at 16.79

  • Nice thank you

  • I’m sure I’ll have a use for it at some point. Thanks :)

    • Plug it in the USB port on your TV to get speeds higher than the 100mbit builtin port

      • What TV has USB-C?

If you needed more than 100mbit you would probably be getting a bluray or Apple TV.

Important for streaming all that 16K content in a decade.

  • Got one, thanks.

Do we know how the extra discount works though? Ostensibly it should come out as 50% off $16.79.

    • +1

The vouchers always come off the original price

      • My Order total still shows $16.79. too scare to click "Place Order"

EDIT: Ignore this fool. I forgot to click the voucher!

    • The discount further comes off in the checkout. It caught me out too.

    Got one.
    What's it used for?

Sticking in a drawer and being satisfied you nabbed a bargain.

Perhaps in the ozbargain showcase in the pool room!

    • Slow WiFi got you down?

Have an ethernet port on your router, but not on your device? Time to cry?

Not so fast! Put those tissues down, there's still hope, and besides each tissue costs money that could be better spent on an actual solution.

Do you have a USB-C port on your device? And this adapter?

Great! Goodbye, slow WiFi–hello fast ethernet!!!

        • assumes you have an ethernet cable. If not, keep the tissue box handy…

Never using it, finding it decades later and explaining to your Neuralink enabled grandkids what usb-c was.

  • So how do you know what can use this?
Eg does a phone know how to use eth? Or a switch? or other wifi usbc appliance?

Any modern PC with a USB-C port i would say. Especially modern Laptop computers which doesn't have an ethernet port but have a USB-C port. For example the Macbook Pro 13" laptop computer has no ethernet port but it does have a USB-C port. Whether this is compatible with the Macbook Pro laptop computer i don't know but it might be. It does say MacOS in the operating system compatibility on the Amazon product page.

    • This is the Ozbargain way, buy it then figure out what to use it for.

  • Cheers OP ;)

  • Thanks OP can never have too many of these :)

  • Off topic question.
What's the best/cheapest buy for getting extra USB A ports on the laptop?

    • +1

Grab a USB hub, there's a lot to choose from on amazon. Here are two examples:

      USB A
      USB C

Looks in overflowing gadget drawer … "Must resist!"

  • Thanks OP. Laptop couldn't connect to WiFi last week, needed to get online to download some updates to fix the issue, which was a catch 22 situation. Would have been handy if one of this was available.

    • Not needing one right now, but got it anyways for this exact same reason as i know it will happen sometime on the future.

      • +1

Smart move. Last time it was on sale I commented about it but did not buy one, and sure enough I needed one soon after.

        A small consolation this time it's USB-C.

        • yeah. alternatively you could in some cases connect your phone via USB to your computer and use it as a hotspot

  • Just checked my Surface Pro it has a USB-C port. This is gonna be handy when travel. Thx OP.

  • Buy now, use maybe later! thanks!

Thanks, the USB3 adapter is down to $9 if you don't have USB-C.

Given the limited type C ports available in some laptops
maybe probably better to get a type C hub with USBs and Ethernet port?

    Just a random search: https://www.amazon.com.au/KUKIY-Ethernet-Delivery-MacBook-De… $20

Mine still shows $16.79 at check out

    • Did you check the voucher checkbox?

      • There was no option for to click any vouchers that I could see.
All I see is a -35% prime discount

        • The deal is over I think.

  • It’s $16.79 showing on the last payment page. Please fix the title as the deal seems to have expired.

  • It's showing up at $16.79 with the 50% off with Amazon AU Prime for me. Has the deal expired, or am I missing something?

    • Exactly. But if you proceed with that price tag and the voucher you'll find the final checkout price is $3.79, which is gone now. Could be a price setting error at backend, who knows.

  • Thanks OP, managed to order one just in time.

  • Mine has arrived today

  • Thanks OP. both arrived

  • Looks very good quality, will come in handy some time.
