561

Go this email about TV shop Warehouse sale in Altona VIC 3018. These prices are not available online or over the phone, in-store only

They had quite a few great and cheap stuff.

I bought the TEBO Elite massage chair as it seems like a great deal, especially when compared to others like masseuse massage chairs and etc.
If you go to the store you can have it delivered and installed for an extra $960

There are also pillows, flood lights, grill BBQ, Air fryer, cookware sets, etc

unsure what other details I should put here

I cannot find any useful comparison reviews on the chair so if anyone has any info please chair.

  • Happy ending???

    • +21

      But, wait! There's more…

    • With a special offer for the viewer.

    • -1

Does every happy ending come with a set of steak knives…absolutely free?

      • +1

Just use the knives people left in your comments… What’s with the negs?

    • That'd be extra.

    • Where's the end?

  • +30

    That rrp is a joke

    • +8

Would love to know how many people paid $8999

      Spoiler alert: it's none

      • +3

just saw some reviews where people paid that much, people pay masseuse massage chair way more, up to $18k and even more dummies who pay over $20k for a massage chair

        • Yeah when I moved to the small town I live in now, on facebook marketplace, someone was trying to get $5999 for a pretty similar looking massage chair that they claim to have paid $8999 for.

      • +3

My parents payed exactly this much.

        • +5

You got ripped but the chair looks good.

        • $1699?

        • +1

They may have even 'paid' for it too…

      • +1

Guess your comment is looking dumber by the moment.

        • +2

          hahaha

      • -2

They must have sold some, otherwise they're in breach of ACCC advertising and selling regs. I'm sure no retailer would do that on purpose.

    • ikr. I have a $13k massage chair and this thing isn't even close to its model down.

    • But TV Shop Warehouse said it's true!

    • Indeed, it's actually $34,999

  • +7

The lengthy post by “Citizen John” on this page is instructive.

    https://nzissues.com/Community/threads/tebo-massage-chair-pr…

Also there are heaps of very similar looking chairs for sale in the high 1k range.

    Conclusion? Avoid.

    • I have yet to meet a massage chair representative from any company that doesn't go on that spiel that Citizen John says. They are all the same.

I am comparing this massage chair to Masseuse massage chairs which can go up to 22k. in terms of functionality and quality, I haven't found one under $2k let alone $3k, please let me know if you have

Plus I also tried ringing them up and asked about the cost they said the lowest they can do is $3.5k delivered and installed

  • +12

cannot find any reviews on the chair so if anyone has any info please chair

I brought the TEBO Elite massage chair as it seems like a great deal

You bought a chair for almost $2K without knowing whether it is good or not without even testing it just because of the overly inflated fake RRP?

    • nope compared the features with other massage chairs, read reviews, and found this to be a great deal, haven't found a massage chair even close to this price that matches the quality and features

      • Something that retails for 9 grand should have leather as standard, fat chance this one is. Heck, you can reupholster your car with genuine leather for much less than 5. How long before the covering on this chair starts flaking, 2 or 3 years maybe 5 if you really take care of it as in just leave it in the corner and use it as a decoration.
Saw one the other day someone left it outside their house.

        • yep massage chairs are selling for up to $30k yet none of them are real leather, just PU leather

    • oh forgot to add i did test it, they have a demonstration model in store

    • I paid $6k for mine without being able to try it. But i was confident it was good and it is, i have no "ragrets".

  • +6

    You:

    cannot find any reviews

    Also you

    read reviews

    • -5

yep can't find any reviews on the quality how it compares to others, just reviews where most is about customer service which is rubbish to us as this deal does not involve customer service, and only generic reviews nothing of importance to compare to other like masseuse massage and etc

      • +3

just reviews where most is about customer service which is rubbish to us as this deal does not involve customer service

Customer Service is relevant when you will inevitably need to put in a warranty claim. But likely this "warehouse" business will close up shop before this happens.

        • Tv shop online and warehouse is the same thing, i made sure before buying it. So can call normal number

  • +2

Those stuff really needs you to try it on in person then decide to buy or not.

    • yep can try in-store

  • I will give you $8999 if you can find me a way to buy that chair for $8999.

    • +8

      easy call them, lol
      now give me $8999

      • +4

        Quiet day so I did.
"Would like to buy the elite massage chair for $8999 please"
"Great news, That's now 1699 blah blah"
"I don't need any of the extras or specials, happy to just get the 8999 chair please"
"It was 8999 but is now 1699, I can organise…"

        Any other options?

        • -1

Yeah i know for a fact they did not say 1699 as it is impossible to get it over the phone and i tried as didn't want to go to store to buy it.

    • +1

      what about $20,000

      ROTFLMAO
I cant believe anyone would pay tat….

theres a sucker born every minute..

  • +3

I brought the TEBO Elite massage chair

I’m actually a big fan of this new business model — let the customer bring the deals. Have you got any more in storage, because $1699 seems like a steal!

    • +1

      I actually don't get that,
I think you maybe explained what ozbargain is

      • OzBargain started like that, but somehow morphed into the premier forum for traffic accident fault diagnostics. Sometimes you need to clean the oyster to find the pearl

      • +2

@tharlow is referring to your use of the word 'brought' instead of 'bought' which might help understand their comment.

        • Their ignorance to proper English is, infrustrating!

  • +6

Their Google Reviews make it seem like a place to avoid tbh

    • -7

yeah again that's the online sales, not the warehouse.
All warehouse sales are final and cannot be returned unless it is to do with the warranty or so they tell everyone

I have yet to find anything bad about the warehouse, to me the warehouse customer service is great. Almost everything has great prices whereas everywhere else you would pay a lot more including kmart

  • +2

For 1500, i give you massage 1x time only , deal

    • FULL BODY.? HEAD TO TOE.?HAPPY ENDING.?…lol

      • yeah i might consider that if it was daily (I don't know how to do emojis on PC)

        • Windows key + .

  • I brought the TEBO

How did you bring it home ? Did you pay anything before you brought it.
    Where did you get it?

    • +8

You know the OP meant ‘bought’.

      Get a life.

      • You know, I’m staggered that nobody has posted a deal on that, with so many people on here desperately needing one. I suppose lives just don’t get discounted? And don’t to tell me that old story about all lives being valued the same, because we all know some people get more upvotes than others

  • +5

"if you go to the store you can have it delivered and installed for an extra $960"

    That seems expensive for delivery

    • +1

yep just hire a ute and don't have to pay a cent extra which is what I did, needs 2 people to install though

    • +4

      Expensive? More like extortionate.

  • +4

    +1 for the "please chair"

    • +1

Nice one! But I think we all got the massage

  • +1

that massage chair originally cost around $3000 in origin country. this is a good deal

    • interesting, how did you find that out?

  • +7

Michael9865 are you associated with the company?
Massive red flags posted by multiple users yet your still defending .

    • I have yet to find one red flag, that's all

All the reviews are just customer services which are the same for all massage chair companies, have yet to really see a red flag for the quality of the chair let alone the warehouse.

I am also committed to finding out more about the chair.

Most comments can be ignored for this deal and everyone knows online TV shop sales are horrendous and no one should order from them

      • +2

Are you associated with this deal?

        • nope, not that I know of anyway, I just like commenting.

Although I am surprised about the minimal likes, personally thought it is an excellent deal, thought i'd have hundreds of likes by now, maybe it's the way I wrote the ad

          • +4

@michael9865: Post a deal at 3am about random niche deal
            Expect 100s likes by 8am

            Right.

            • +2

              @ShouldIBuyIt: yeah that's why i don't think i wrote my post correctly,
I mean the main reason I made the post was to have a conversation about the quality of the massage chair but also there are a lot of deals which I should have al written.

When I went there I saw people pile up stuff in those trolleys, filling their car up. so yeah was amazed by that sight so thought it must a too good not to share but also a part of me thought I shouldn't share just because it could be finished in one day,

I mean where else can you find a flood light for $10 let alone all the other deal posted in the pic

              • @michael9865: I give you a +1 cause you've showed good spirit despite all the backlash and haters here.

          • @michael9865: ever heard the saying when its too good to be true it normally is…I mean a $9k chair suddenly discounted $7.5k for sale for $1.5k.. Red flag right there, also good luck with warranty seems dodgy. You may not hear reviews about the chair but i can tell you now it probably isnt even worth $1.5k on sale. You pay for what you get simple rule of the universe.

            • @Mario g: that's incorrect for ozbargain.
I got a $2k samsung phones on the cheap like note10+ for $350, the year it came out same with s21 ultra $400
People paid up to $14k for this Massage chair so it is not a fake sale.
Not only that there are many other deal in this warehouse that will blow your mind, even cheaper than kmart

              • @michael9865: i dont agree - things (good quality) are discounted but not by 90% on items that are expensive to start with. people can contiune to pay $14k and be fleeced - over inflated by an unknown brand. In this day and age no one pays retail. if you do then oz bargain is not for you.

                • +1

@Mario g: uh, yeah you might not a true ozbargainer then as a lot of us buy expensive top quality stuff on the cheap, any experienced ozbargainer will tell you that.
Not to mention I got good quality food and movies tickets for free.

Plus Samsung that I got was top quality and got it for over 80% off, yeah they made a mistake but i still managed to get mine.
I even managed to get a High quality mattress for free

                  • @michael9865: what you consider top quality stuff and cheap is different to my perception of quality and cheap… half of the deals listed on here arn't exactly cheap.

  • +3

Man, the amount of returns to TV shop that go past my desk at work is insane. They apparently give you your money back, but you need to pay to return the thing… Something of this size wouldn't be cheap either.

    • +1

yep, this deal has no returns

people are confusing TV shop online sales with the warehouse sale, not the same thing

  • +1

Subscribed for the comments. **gets popcorn

  • +1

Drops almost 2k on a chair

    I cannot find any reviews
    read reviews
thought I'd have hundreds of likes by now

    • -3

nope can't find any reviews still on the quality on massage chair compared to other, main reason I posted the deal.

Also less than $2k and to me it is a great chair for even $3k, don't think anyone will find the same quality chair for under $4k.

Yeah hundreds is fair, ideally would like more as I would say this can compete with the deal of the year award but wrote my post wrong by not including the major deals

    • +1

I bought a massage chair from TVSN for $1200, 7 years ago and it is still going strong. Have been using it every other day. Awesome chair.

  • +3

My parents have this chair. They paid around the $9000 retail for it. I cringed hard when I heard… 😬

In saying that it's definitely worth more than $1699. The massage functionality is great (but super intense, too intense for my elderly parents so they never use it) Feels pretty high quality. I'd put fair value at around the S3000 - $4000 mark.

    • +1

Thanks your like the first comment of an actual review on this post lol, I tried a masseuse massage chair that was retailing for $15k at the time, 2 years ago on their 180-day trial which I returned and I think this one is better.

due to your comment though, I am afraid that it may not be good for my elderly parents which is the main reason I got this

  • The 10 dollar solar floodlight and 45 air fryer oven seem more my budget and sort of deal haha

    • oh, maybe don't go there, you might just fill a trolley up aswell as there are a lot of goodies discounted, I literally spent like $200 on random stuff some of which i don't think i will ever use just because I compared them to other stores and thought no one can sell new stuff this cheap

  • +5

Usual OZB style experts commenting on the post without any real knowledge, plenty of massage chairs cost an absolute fortune. Probably all running around with furniture they picked up in hard rubbish. Good quality furniture, especially chairs, costs alot.

While they arent my sort of thing, for the people who do want them, and even need them, they are an absolute god send.

Seems like an absolute steal for the price. Though like anything furniture related, you'd atleast wanna try it in store.

    Ignore the hate OP.

    • Thanks mate,

I just like commenting when I am motivated to learn more about something

      • -2

You should be motivated to learn more about something BEFORE commenting.

        • +1

I did all I could do alone, now I need your help, are you up for it

    • hangon on second there is a difference between a proper good quality massage chair and crap floating in the market place. you hit the nail on the head "good quality furniture costs alot"

      • yep 100%,
you will see the bad quality for under $2k there is a bunch just google it, people pay up to $30k for great quality ones (massage chairs)

  • TV shop that selling perfumes?

    • I didn't get any but there were quite a few in stock

  • Can seat go all the way back so I can sleep?

    • apparently if it doesn't have "zero gravity" it shouldn't be considered as a massage chair

  • "But wait! There's more!! Call now and…."

    • +1

nope, if you call you don't get the deal

  • +1

probably look up model first, wouldn't be surprised if Kogan has it cheaper. I got a Kogan branded one 2 years ago and it's amazing, or at least my wife tells me..

    • +1

      which Kogan model was it?

Also yeah looked it up before buying it and read what it's worth so knew it was a great price and wouldn't be surprised if sold out already. No one can even get close to how cheap the Warehouse is selling it for.

  • My curiousity is piqued.

Can someone explain the difference between the posted deal and this one on Amazon for $1300 delivered?
