50% off Ostelin Range at Priceline eg Vitamin D 250 Tablets $19.99 (8c ea) Today/Tomorrow Only

100

Just noticed this from their FB page. I've been having to resort to using the sun for free the past couple of weeks waiting for this to go on sale! Brilliant price on the Vitamin D. They also have Panadol Optizorb 100 tablets for $5.99 (if that means anything to you!) Click the picture link for the ad, or the link below for prices on the Vitamin D

Also, if you happen to miss out, it's 20% off in their catalogue starting on 19 Jul to 30 Jul which is still ok, but of course, not as good as 50% off. (see page 28)

10,000IU is a hell of a lot of Vit D for a single tablet - I'd be wary taking such things if you actually do get sun exposure on your skin.

Agreed.. even based off the iHerb site it's 2500% of your daily requirement.

Aye - 40,000IU is seen as more than sufficient for a healthy person to suffer from Vitamin D intoxication - hypercalcemia. However if your body isn't running at 100%, that number can come down.

Realistically you only need 800-1200IU/day depending on age etc and the best way to get it is through sun exposure (the body self regulates and disposes of excess when produced naturally). I take supplements during winter because
          a) the sun is rarely out
          b) even when it is, the angle with the earth is significantly decreased and more of the UV-B rays that produce Vit D in the skin are absorbed in the atmosphere, so significantly more than the ~15 minutes a day for my skin type is needed.

Thanks for the offer there guys - lots of choices - maybe too much. Think i'll just stick to Ostelin atm - but not the 250 tab bottle - all sold out at Hornsby (NSW) by the time i get there this arvo. Bummer! (apparently all went early this morning even before i posted this on OZB) so i had to settle for the last 2x 130 tab packets - a shocking 5% worse value than the 250 bottle! Still had lots of 60 tab bottles left.

  • The sale is over now! :(

  • it's cheaper at iherb or vitacost with the discount codes.
