I imagine that there is a push to get rid of the current docks before DAB takes off even more and then these things will be really hard to get rid of.

      Not unless they get rid of that horrid live tiles display. It's nice that they're trying something new, but surely they could've gotten away from the Metro UI that has received horrible reviews.

Ok i'm typing from my ipad while connected to this dock (thanks op for this bargain!).

The volume is a little on the soft side but it is fine for the bedroom. Charges ipad2/iphone4 fine so far. Has 3.5mm connector. Nifty remote. So it works as advertised. Not a bad deal imo.
