Vornado 533 Air Circulator Fan $119 + Delivery ($0 with Kogan First) @ Kogan

Clearance, so I'm not sure how much stock they have. Great fan, ok model. Consider upgrading to DC model which has adjustable speed and energy efficient.

We got the DC model and it gets good air flow and is pretty quiet.

    I have a 660 and a 633DC. I wouldn't buy another non DC one.

DC can go a much lower speed and be quieter, and can be turned on with a smart plug which gives it much more usefulness as well as being lower power draw.

100%, love the variable speeds on the DC model, so much quieter on super low speed.

Tried both the 633 and 660 instore. I didn't understand the love for the 633 and walked out with the 660. Yeah it's quieter at its lowest speed but it's also not moving much air at its lowest speed. The 660 is still pretty quiet relative to most other fans of the same size. I liked the simplicity of the 660, it moves more air, and it just looks like a nicer unit imo. The downside is it always starts at full power so it would be no good if you wanted pseudo control of it via a smart switch.
At this price though the smaller unit would be worth picking up vs a cheap bunnings job.

The 633 and the 633DC are not the same fan.

The DC models of the vornado fans are controlled my a knob rather than buttons, so you have continuous settings from off to full speed. My DC633 basically silent at 33% and still really quiet at 50%. The DC models also use significantly less power - 633DC is apparent 2-40W, while the 633 is listed as 63W. However someone did a test on the 533 and got 79w, 56w, and 36w in high, medium, and low-speed settings (credit to Kron for finding the youtube review with this test: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13211743/redir), so the 633 probably will use more power than listed, and the 660 would be more than that again.

Potentially a substantial difference if running for a long time, if we need to dry clothes inside we leave the 633DC blowing on it on a very low mode to keep the air moving.
