  • How does Air T15 compare to Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2?

    • Cheaper

      • true…much cheaper and lighter. Also looks different.

    • +2

Can't comment on the Xiaomi, but probably apples to oranges a single grape in terms of raw performance…

I have an AirT15 and it's really a budget model useful for very short, light urban usage.
Battery isn't amazing - going to and from work 3km away uses about 30-50% of my battery by the time I get back home, and only has a max speed of 20kph.

I only opted for it because I didn't need anything beefier, I managed to snag one on Amazon for $300, and it folds up nicely flat and compact; weighing at 10kg can chuck it in a bag and almost walk around the shops with it too.

Really depends on what workload you intend to get out of them and your needs.

being able to bag it is a huge plus considering they're not allowed on buses in qld

        • Oh really? I didn't know that.. thanks!
QLD'er here too. Good to know

@Stoibs: stupid rule about big batteries it seems. qrail doesnt mind them

I have 2 x T15s. Fine for my daughter. I have to kick it up hills and I'm 70kg. No suspension and solid tyres, so smooth paths only.

You can make the Led lights do pretty things, they look sleek, fold flat, come with a charging dock that keeps them out of the way.

Good for a bit of fun and for the kids to learn how to ride.

The outdoor camera is a great segue because when you injure your neighbour with the segway, you're going to need some sort of evidence to show that she was intoxicated and jumped into your path, and you weren't simply being reckless. Which brings me to the next tool, camping light, which can also be used to illuminate outdoor environments for resolving disputes.

  • Segway T15 is coming down to more reasonable prices.
But doesn't mean much to a fat (profanity) like me.
Not obese, just have a belly and scales hitting 100kg on the regular which is probably more than the scooter can properly handle. Doesn't sound like much fun if the scooter doesn't go like you want it too and runs out of juice in an hour.

Anyway probably should walk more instead.

    • =(

The manual does indeed specifically state between 50-100kg load :/

      • So what about 114kgs? Does it mean it would just go slower and less range ?

        • +1

I believe that's what the book says, yeah.

        • From just basic guess work. The lighter you are, the quicker the acceleration will be and the more chance of having fun while riding it.

At 100kg I feel like I will be putting the 4Ah battery through a tough time (heat) and it won't last as nearly as long as carrying a lighter person. At $200 I think I would still think about it.

  • Make sure you home insurance is up to spec
