Product description (from Mwave):

Samsung GALAXY S III just gets us. Little things like nudging you when you’ve missed something and helping you keep track of loved ones. Designed for humans, it goes beyond smart and fulfils your needs by thinking like you think and acting like you act.

Smart Stay
Samsung GALAXY S III recognises when you are looking at the phone. The front camera looks deep into your eyes and maintains a bright display for your continued viewing pleasure.

Direct Call
Samsung GALAXY S III knows when you want to talk. When you are messaging someone and decide to call them instead, simply lift your phone to your ear and Direct Call will dial their number for you.

Smart Alert
When you pick up your phone, wouldn’t it be nice if it let you know what you’ve missed while you’ve been gone? Samsung GALAXY S III knows and gives you a vibrating nudge to inform you about missed calls and new messages.

S Voice^^^
Why not get a response from your phone? Tell your Samsung GALAXY S III to turn off the alarm for a few minutes and let you sleep a bit more, answer your phone (or reject a call), turn your music up (or down), and even tell the camera when to shoot.

Social Tag
It’s easy to keep track of friends and loved ones. Social tag lets you link the faces in your photo album with their social media streams. Once it’s set, all you have to do is look at your friends’ pictures and you’ll see their current status appear*.

S Beam
Lets you bond almost instantly so you can transfer documents, contacts, photos and home videos. Just put the backs of your 2 Samsung GALAXY S III phones together, connect, share and enjoy*1.

AllShare Play
Lets you work together through the magic of DLNA and Wi-Fi Direct, giving you access to documents and multimedia files when you work on a different compatible screen somewhere else.

Buddy photo share
It is easy to manage and share your photos. The Samsung GALAXY S III recognises faces and links those with your friends for you, using your group profiles for guidance*.

Design
Samsung GALAXY S III’s minimal and organic design is reflected in its smooth and nonlinear lines. Its human-centric nature provides a comfortable experience, while its comfortable grip, gentle curves and organic form helps deliver a natural feel.

4.8 HD Super AMOLED
The 4.8 inches of high definition display has true colours, ultrafast response times and HD video playback. It is outrageously sharp and amazingly thin.

Best Photo
Samsung GALAXY S III aims to never miss a smile or catch someone when they’re blinking. Once it’s set, it automatically takes a burst of eight shots to make a continuous scene and will select the best one of the bunch for you.

Navigon

  • Very tempting. Cheapest I have seen including shipping.

    • +1

      $582 delivered from Kogan

      • $588 now?

  • Right now, Kogan (white) is 582 inc shipping and with discount code. Is this Australian stock?

If its a grey import, it needs to be 20 or 30 dollars cheaper shipped to beat current offerings.

    • According to the above link, the page says “Genuine Australian Stock & Warranty”

you'd pay that big extra $42 for the 32gb wouldn't you.

There's probably 5 units on hand. They will take your payment though, even though your order won't go through due to DDoS.

I wouldn't risk it. Plus Kogan has it cheaper.

  • +2

mwave, I would not trust them as I have been through last time with this stupid rush 1 hour promotion

    • +2

      x 2 waste of time

  • Wonder why it's still AEDT :3

  • Is Mwave reliable? How much stock will be available?

  • Unusual.. They claim it's genuine Aussie stock but under the support tab on their product page (http://www.mwave.com.au/sku-60020522-Samsung_Galaxy_S_III_-3G_HSDPA-Quad_Core_Processor_1_4GHz-_16GB_Internal_Mem) it's listed 12 months manufacturer warranty only.

    Maybe it isn't Aussie stock?

EDIT: There's also a disclaimer: "Please note that the warranty periods stated here may not be correct. Mwave recommends that customers refer to the manufacturers website for correct warranty period and conditions."

So maybe it does have 24 months warranty after all…

  • I believe it is Aussie stock, price is good. But in terms of company reputation, ……..

  • Average price & poor company reputation. NO DEAL.

Where else can I get it for under $600, Aus Stock? I would like to keep my options open :D

  • ~$55 less if you utilise TRS at the Airport.

  • lol don't waste your time with any mwave promotions

    • +1

What happened last time? Is this deal not even worth trying for? AUS stock is what makes this deal so attractive, i.e. 24 months manufacturers warranty (I hope)

  • +1

was on the button since 1:58
    SORRY SOLD OUT

    • I have an email that says they sold out before it was even on sale???

  • mwave=dodgy

  • Managed to score a blue one, payed with PayPal. I received a call afterwards to confirm my shipping address as it didn't seem to register (odd), but I was told that it should be shipped tomorrow, and arrive early next week. So far so good I guess, my only concern is the possibility of them sending me a grey import instead of the Australian model.. Does anybody know how to differentiate between the two?.. I think the A-tick logo would be a good indicator?
