I am running out of room on my PC for my 4k VR porn, so need an external SSD.
I added a Seagate 5TB Expansion Portable Hard Drive STKM5000400 and a
Bissell Stain Eraser Turbo - Cordless Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner 2982F to make it $465 shipped with the code.

There are other things to add to make it to $500 for $50 off:
Samsung USB Type-C™ Flash Drive 256GB MUF-256DA $49
CUCKOO Electric Rice Cooker 6 cup CR-0631F $169
Gasmate Single Burner Wok Cooker CS2112SL $99 - I believe this one is 17800 BTU and cheaper here
Breville ikon 4 Slice Sandwich Press BSG540 $109
Philips 1000 Series Air Purifier for rooms up to 63m² AC1215/70 $218
Logitech MX Master 3S Graphite 910-006561 $149
Samsung 128GB EVO Plus microSD Card (2021) MB-MC128KA $19
Samsung 512GB EVO Plus microSD Card (2021) MB-MC512KA $79
These are just random stuff on the front page of the store, you can check the store for other shit. And I don't know if the above prices are good.

However, Amazon has the T7 2TB and Seagate 5TB with 5% off for $410.28 shipped from the US, estimated delivery 8th Feb

Hey Op. Just a word of warning about the Carpet cleaner. I know the "Tough Stain Powerbrush" sounds enticing, but I can just picture the faces on the hospital casualty staff if something were to go wrong there!
    BTW - great post!

Great little drive, bought one from O/Works last year. Excellent performance.

    Awesome effort OP !!

  • Is this suitable for ps5? For extra storage?

It would be suitable for storing and running PS4 games, yep. You can store PS5 games but you can't run them directly off an external SSD, you'd have to transfer them to internal console storage (or the on-board NVMe slot SSD storage, if you've installed any) in order to play them.

You should get the family membership for Office and then use the 1TB OneDrive to hold all your VR porn. Then you can share the link with me 😜

    • I refuse to pay for cloud storage. I have 240gb on Onedrive, 50gb on Box, and 7gb on Dropbox, but most of my stuff in on google which still has plenty of room

  • Waiting for $99 to match the Sandisk E30 price. :)

  • Bloody typical pervert Sicko to say that about Porn, that you're running out of memory.

  • Btw, are these Samsung SSD safe to scan thru at the airport scanners⁉️.. Any experiences?.. Because I know that these are quite small and pocket-sized.

    • +1

I think your pr0… i mean data will be safe.

    • Perfectly fine. I fly with several in my laptop bag. Never an issue.

  • The 1TB SSD is a good size for dash cam footage in your Tesla

  • This drive boasts a 1000+ MB/s Read/Write rate, but can achieve those only for a short time and only when connected to a USB-C port. Did some checks and saw that under sustained write performance (~60GB) the speeds dropped to as low as 340 MB/s. Also the write speed is capped at 838 MB/s on my 2020 iMac, Read at around 900 MB/s. Max speed was limited to 450 MB/s when connected to USB-A. Better than a HDD based solution, but does not deliver well on the promise of 1000 MB/s speed.

Saw this review on eBay. Any one can counter that?

    • I'm getting 1000+MB/sec read and around 950MB/writeon a MSI B550 Tomahawk USB-C rear port.

Blue USB3-A on the front gets about 450mb read and 450mb/write. * Just found out my red USBA-3 port at the back gets 1000Mb / 875Mb, must be the updated USB-A 3.2 Gen 2?

Older intel i7-2600 gets 250MB read /250MB right on the USB3 front port.

Another less old i5-6600 gets 450/450MB via the front USB-3.

OK. After further research, USB 3.2 Gen 1 (type-A) is 5gbps So around 450MB/sec. USB 3.2 Gen 2 is 10Gbps So around 1000MB/sec and in USB-C or USB-A.
