You need to be specific regarding Mitsubishi as there are 2 separate companies sharing this same name.

    • How to identify difference between the two?

      • +1

Just have to look at individual products. Based on a random sample it seems that the eligible products are Mitsubishi Electric rather than Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

      • Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (mhiaa.com.au) and Mitsubishi Electric (mitsubishielectric.com.au)
        Completely different model numbers.
Went through the claiming process and can only see Mitsubishi Electric AC models.

      • They’ll have completely different brand names. I prefer Mitsubishi electric. They are great and their app, while simple, works well for what I need. (Cheaper units need extra Wi-Fi adaptor to support it)

  • Looking for a 2.5kw split system..which participating brand would u guys recommend? And if you know of any good offers?

    • I'm thinking of getting Kelvinator KSD25HWJ from Jbhifi for a 3x3 room.

      • I called them and it seems they dont keep any stock and have to order from supplier which can take atleast 4weeks.

    • Have both Fujitsu and Panasonic, I would rate the Panasonic better.

What's the cheapest ac with $400 back

  • Can someone explain what's the point of buying air conditioners yourself and then ask an installer to install it for $450+??

    For example,
    FUJITSU SET-ASTG09KMTC $1099
    Cashback $150
    Installation $450

$1099 - $150 + $450 = $1399 (this price ONLY if you can find an installer to install it for $450, many installers charge way more than $450)

There are some installers who can supply/install a Fujitsu 2.5kw for $1350.
You do not need to worry about delivery cost or pick up yourself.

    • What installers would you recommend? Would love to get someone good in Sydney!

      • If I post the installer's contact here, it looks like that I am advertising.
        Please PM me.

I used this installer to install 2 Fujitsu air conditioners that were taken off during knocking down & rebuilding part of my house.

        • Know any installer in Melb?

          • +1

@avitherock: Sorry, I do not know any installer in Melb, Bris, Ade, Per, Hob or Darw.
            I am based in Syd.

I'm unable to find any installer for $450 in Melbourne.
Everyone here says, they just don't do the installation.

    • $450 is suspiciouly cheap, $500 is more of acceptable range for standard back to back, then cost of the 2.5kw unit is around $900. For example Bunnings has been selling the MHI unit for around $850-900 for a while now and it's probably one of the reason most major retailers don't sell MHI anymore. MHI also consistently run cashback promo on these units too so it's not surprising to see actual cost including installation around that figure.

As for other manufacturer thinking they can get away with selling 2.5kw unit for $1100 tell them they're dreaming, that's why they have to consistently do cashback.

Can someone explain what's the point of buying air conditioners from participating retailers and then get cash back

when you can just buy it cheaper at https://wholesaleaircon.com.au?

    For example,
    FUJITSU SET-ASTG09KMTC $1099
    Cashback $150
    $1099 - $150 = $949

    At
    https://wholesaleaircon.com.au/product-category/split-system…
    It costs $899

  • There are promotions like this one almost all the time, like the current $250 Mitsubishi cash bonus https://www.frostair.com.au/specials/

  • I asked good guys to price match from stancash, Retravision and they clearly refused saying we don't price match small stores as they sell seconds

    • How about price matching with Jbhifi?

    • Might want to take them to task over that one. As if they sell seconds as new. What a crock

  • Will this include any portable AC?
