Original Coupon Deal

Seems to be the cheapest it has been with camelcamelcamel saying $949 was the cheapest in the past. Unlike my previous deal, there are more than 10 items available and there have been other posts of deals of sydneymobiles on ozbargain so I expect that this won't get deleted.

Black, Green, Pink and White available.

    Nice.
I bought an as-new refurb some weeks back, has been great.
I see a lot of hate for the S22 series, I don't agree.

what's wrong with it ? got one on March 2022 (256 GB version for $949) and it works perfectly.

Jacked up the price from yesterday. It was this price for the 256GB.

  • Does anyone know what the overall cheapest was with trade-in discounts, newsletter coupons etc.?

Always feels weird to compare prices for Samsung given they do deals on their EPP as well.

I got mine for $550 with a $0 S9 "trade in" that i never gave them at JB HIFI mid last year

      • Cheers! Good to know

wait…so one could just like….tell them you have a phone to trade in, get the discount and never give them one?

Would stay away until these go $700. They have 8gb ram.so only good for 1.5years then you can feel them slowing down. So this is ideal time to buy if price hits 700.

    • Sorry as I'm not sure, however, this is their current premium phone? so I'm not sure 1.5 years is accurate based on that.

Also, the iPhone 14 comes with 6GB. Surely 2GB isn't a game changer? Although they are very different OS.

Apple always uses less ram than Android phones but their phones are so much customised and the apps designed to utilise that hardware. Samsung (Android) on the other hand needs more ram as the hardware isn't as tight with software. All apple phones and iPads have less ram than flagships of those years.

        • Thanks, I didn't know that.

But the s22 and iPhone 13 were released the same year, both with 4 GB of ram… I don't really want to say much more as I'm not really sure what I'm talking about.

          • @c00per: Yeah idk, I have an S8+ with 4gb ram, it's currently using 2.8gb as we speak. Still fairly snappy 6 years later.

I don't use my phone for gaming though.

        • You are aware both are built off similar os. When you break it down they are all both a take of linux

          • +1

@asa79: Just coz they began as unix or whatever they are totally different and can't really be compared anymore. i mean my router is based off linux too but the way it handles ram etc is much different than say a pC running a modern linux os

My last phone has 12. This feels faster, I don't see 8 being an issue.

  • Dual SIM..is it a grey import?

    • according to their description its AU stock

    • +2

      Nano sim + esim.

    • S21 ultra was dual Sim

    • if it's 1 sim + esim then that's s bit shit to call it "dual SIM".

If it's 2 actual physical SIMs then I'm pretty sure it's not Aussie stock…

I wanrt dual physical SIMs plus the esim…. would be nice… went from my old grey import dual SIM note10lite.. to a s22 ultra single SIM slot+esim and although esim is great i miss having 2 sim slots

      • I want dual physical SIMs plus the esim

Don't we all. But no. If apple had their way. It will all be esim only.

Not that i got anything against it except the rest of the world has not all caught up having esims for their mobile phone service providers.

        • I had been running a now grandfathered plan $5 per month Dodo unlimited calls and SMS.

Along with another now grandfathered Optus data plan, $7.50 per month for 5gb data only - then shaped to 1.5Mbps. (also included "free" Amazon prime sub each month)

So $5+$7.50 = $12.50 total per month for effectively unlimited calls, sms and (slow but still usable for my needs) data. prime sub an added bonus.

I haven't yet managed to find a better deal..

of course neither of these plans were able to be switched to esim

(well ok I'm still using the $5 sms & call sim, and scumbagging my way thru different free 1 month esim trial accounts for my data at the moment)
as much as i an a cheapskate I still kinda feel a tiny bit bad about abusing the free trials like this.

          not.

          🙃😵😅

      • Still is dual Sim no matter how you look at it

  • S23 is coming out soon.

    • With bigger battery I guess. S22 has not so great battery
